An Inspired Chat with Tash Jordan of Los Angeles

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tash Jordan. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Tash , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Being in nature is a big reset for me. Whether it’s sitting in the park listening to the birds chirping, listening to the waves crash on the pier or being lost in the mountains, time stops for me. In the hustle culture we live in, it is imperative that we take time to connect with nature. Not only does it allow you to reflect on life, you can also receive downloads from the universe to answers you’ve been seeking.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
What’s going on, I’m Tash Jordan. I’m an actor/producer. Some of my credits include a recurring role on Bel-Air, Grownish and All American. I co-produced the Oscar-qualified short film The Deal, which made it to the Academy Screening Room during the 2025 Oscars run.

Something that I noticed in Hollywood is that you can count on one hand the number of black superheros shown on screen. My goal is to be the action film star to inspire the next generation of black kids to be the best version of themselves. As a big brother and uncle, I want to make a positive impact on the young kings & queens in my life.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
During the 1st 7 years of my life I was put in special ed classes. As a result, the kids in school treated me different. I was made an outcast and for awhile I thought something was wrong with me. Keep in mind I was put in regular classes after second grade and went on to have AB honors through college. It wasn’t until I made a name for myself on campus that I realized there was nothing wrong with me, it was the people around me. Sometimes all we need is to change our environment to break old beliefs.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I have wanted to give up numerous times but I keep pushing forward because I got no choice. You can quit for a day, a week, or even a month. We do need breaks to reset and as a matter of fact, I’m about to take some time away myself. After the pause, the marathon continues. Giving up completely leads to nothing but regret. I think about creating my Hollywood empire on a daily. I feel like it is my destiny to be an action film icon and I can’t give up. I made too many sacrifices, invested too much money & left New York to throw in the towel. Having a support system helps along with having a spiritual practice. Those 2 things keep you grounded through the tough times.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
My coach Mike Chat. That man is the Tony Hawk of Martial Arts. He went on to become the Blue Power Ranger in Power Ranger Lightspeed Rescue. He has done what I’m aiming to do in my acting career. Coach Chat has trained some of your favorite celebrities such as Taylor Lautner, Jaden Smith & Usher. Coach wants to see his students exceed him and is very giving. I knew he was the real deal when I asked him to help me prepare for a pitch meeting with a studio and at one point he suggested I go elsewhere for help because he wasn’t an expert in that field. A lot of people wouldn’t admit that, especially in an industry like entertainment where egos are as big as Saturn. I am forever grateful to have him in my life.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I die, my goal is for people to look at my life and be inspired by my mindset. I’ve always been one that swung for the fences. Unfortunately, there are many people who had their dreams stifled during their childhood by their parents, during school by their peers, or at work by their boss. They didn’t have a walking example of someone who had a goal in mind and went after it. Like I mentioned earlier, I want to leave a positive impact on my little brother, cousins, nieces & nephews’ lives. How can I do that? By being a walking example of somebody that’s making their dreams happen. I am very fortunate that they can turn on the TV to see me on 3 different shows, but there’s more that I need to accomplish.
