An Inspired Chat with Sayan Aboudi Esq.

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Sayan Aboudi Esq.. Check out our conversation below.

Sayan, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I start my day by checking and organizing my emails, ensuring that any urgent or important messages are addressed promptly. I then respond to client inquiries, providing updates or information as needed. Afterward, I take time to plan out the rest of my day, in between i always google for the joke of the day after that i am back in work mode setting priorities, outlining tasks, and aligning my schedule to stay focused and productive.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Sayan Aboudi, and I’m proud to be part of Lionsgate Law Group. At Lionsgate Law Group, we’re dedicated to delivering clear, results-driven legal solutions for individuals who have been injured due to accidents. My work is focused entirely on personal injury cases, where I advocate for clients who are often going through some of the most difficult times in their lives.

What sets our firm apart is our commitment to both professional excellence and personalized care. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all legal strategies, we take the time to understand each client’s unique situation, needs, and long-term goals. Whether we’re handling complex litigation or negotiating settlements in pre-litigation, our approach is always strategic, compassionate, and grounded in integrity.

Right now, we’re focused on growing our reach through community partnerships and client education, helping make legal support more accessible to those who need it most. Personal injury law isn’t just about compensation, it’s about helping people rebuild, and that’s what drives everything we do at Lionsgate.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
The person who taught me the most about work is my father, Jalal Aboudi. He was an accountant, and growing up, I watched him live out what true dedication looked like. He never took a day off, always showed up in a suit and tie, and carried himself with a quiet discipline that left a lasting impression on me. His work ethic, professionalism, and consistency shaped how I view my own responsibilities today and that example continues to guide me in everything I do.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, absolutely. One of the most difficult moments in my life was just a few weeks before I was scheduled to sit for the California Bar Exam I was diagnosed with cancer. It was a moment that could have easily broken me. I was overwhelmed, depressed, and unsure if I had the strength to keep going.

But my family never let me give up. My wife, parents, and close friends rallied around me. They refused to let me fall into that dark place and reminded me of who I am and what I was working toward. With their constant support, I found the strength to face the diagnosis head and I still sat for that exam.

That experience showed me the power of resilience, the importance of community, and how much we can overcome when we’re surrounded by love and support.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I deeply admire the late Kobe Bryant not for the rings, the championships, or the fame but for his relentless work ethic, his love for what he did, and his unshakable commitment to self-improvement. What stood out to me most was his drive to be better than the man he was the day before. That level of focus and dedication is rare.

To me, it’s best summed up in one phrase: Mamba Mentality. It’s not just about winning it’s about pushing your limits, staying disciplined, and showing up every single day even when you are exhausted. That mindset continues to inspire me, both personally and professionally.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
At my core, I believe that everyone deserves representation especially when the case is small, the odds feel stacked, or others have already said “no.”

I’ve built my practice around helping people who are often overlooked, not because it’s profitable, but because it’s right. Many of the cases I accept are the ones other attorneys turn away. That’s never bothered me. For me, it’s not about chasing the biggest payday it’s about showing up when someone needs help the most.

What I’m doing today may not pay off for 7 or even 10 years but I believe in doing the right thing now, because that’s how trust is built, one case at a time.
