Rose Rosolino shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Rose, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Hiya, my name’s Rose Rosolino, they/them, I’m a transnonbinary voiceover artist, actor, and model based in Los Angeles. Outside of the daily grind of pursuing those dreams of mine, I’ve been focusing on bettering myself as a person through my three main hobbies: baking, floral photography, and reading!
I love creating desserts that combine savory and sweet flavors; my favorite flowers are the winter blooming camellias that thrive in the warmer weather here in LA; and I’m currently reading “Courtesans and Fishcakes” by James Davidson, a nonfiction history of ancient Athenian hedonism that I find fascinating, despite the book being verrrrry tangentially written. You can check out these and more at the link below!
Daily engagement with these varied interests of mine helps me to diffuse the stresses of this industry, as I’m a person first, actor second!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My area of expertise and the services that I provide all revolve around my voice! I narrate audiobooks – you can find my works on Audible, WeHear, Pocket FM – film commercial spots, guide workplace industrials, and create social media content. I’ve had the tremendous experience to collaborate with a range of brands to elevate campaigns across many social media platforms; partnering with Goodreads, Manscaped, Every Man Jack, Scentbird, and Mixtiles, to name just a few!
A major project from 2025 that I’m SO proud to have brought to life with my voice is the Audible audiobook “Volaria” by M.D. Neu, a queer romantasy with a thrilling mystery! You can check it out at the link below.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I grew up onstage! From taking to later teaching children’s theatre courses, to performing in local and regional productions across the tristate area back east, I always gravitated towards playing antagonistic characters, I loved to sink my teeth into a deliciously villainous role.
Little’s changed. I still delight in bringing out the best from the worst, portraying characters that we all love to hate; be it the titular sadistic king of “Agamemnon,” a prosthetic covered demon in the miniseries “Apartment 30,” or your friendly neighborhood zombie in the short film “Out with a Flash.” You can check out clips of each at the below link.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Easy! Two simple words of advice for you, kid: practical skills. Take that stage combat course, even though it’s on Saturday mornings; invest in learning SFX makeup skills, even if it’s an extra few dollars a month; keep up with tightrope walking, even though you’re covered in bruises, as it’ll only help with balance in ballet. Build up a set on reliable, real-world skills that are more than just a few neat tidbits at the bottom of your resume, as those, not theory nor trivia, are what will make you marketable, what will make you interesting!
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
One day, sometime within the next two decades, I WILL portray the next reincarnation of Freddy Krueger. There’s no one better suited. Quick switch between charming and menacing? Check. Can sit in a makeup chair for hours to act with prosthetics? Check. Short king? Alright, fine, check. Call me, New Line Cinema, let’s make this nightmare happen!
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
While we all know that theatre pays diddly, the other role that I’ll die happy playing, in forty some years time, will be Ebenezer Scrooge. While Halloween has always been my holiday of choice, portraying the humbugging miser in Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” is a definitive, if far off goal of mine. I’ve always loved the emotional arc of the old grouch, from brash and unrepentant at the head of the show, to jolly and giddy at the end. That’s most certainly a role that I could take for a walk!
