An Inspired Chat with Rev Dr Julie Moret

We recently had the chance to connect with Rev Dr Julie Moret and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Julie, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
The thing I’m most proud of building that nobody sees, is ME! People see me on stage or experience me through my books, classes, or The High Vibe Hour podcast, but no one sees the time and energy I devote to strengthening my internal infrastructure. I didn’t grow up with natural, intrinsic resources of enoughness, resilience or worth. I had to develop the skills needed to move from hurt and hopelessness to confidence and fulfilled passion.
I used to joke with coaching clients that I got licensed and certified in every healing modality out there, so you don’t have to! From Neuro Linguistic Programming, Neuro Emotional Technique, Breathwork, Psychology, Clinical Hypnosis, Shamanism, Qi Gong…. My life is a quest to find doable tools and practices that clarify and activate why we are here- our unique gifts- AND, most importantly, build the strong inner infrastructure needed to achieve and thrive in our life’s purpose.
When I think of how far I’ve come- so much shyness and pain and then think about all that I’ve done in just the last few years: supported Arndrea Waters King and Martin Luther King III at the 60th Anniversary March on Washington, spoke in South Korea with my mentor, Michael Bernard Beckwith, taught in Costa Rica, and trekked to basecamp on Mount Everest! The fact that we can grow and change our circumstances is breathtaking. That’s what my life is devoted to- supporting myself and those drawn to my offerings to become everything we can possibly be in this lifetime. I’ll always be a work in progress, but I sure am proud of what I’ve built so far.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m an inspiration activator. I teach folks how to rig their environment- literal, psychological, and spiritual- so it pays silent beneficial dividends. That’s what my book, What’s Your What? How to Ignite Your Unique Brand, is about. Tools and practices to become self-inspiring in such a compelling, consistent way that right people, places, and circumstances cannot help but be drawn to you. Less efforting, more aligning. I share these teachings as an inspirational speaker and spiritual teacher at the Agape International Spiritual Center, founded and directed by Michael Bernard Beckwith. Hundreds of folks meet in person on Sundays at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills and thousands stream in from over 173 countries and territories.

I came to this work out of necessity. I felt lost, unclear about who I am, why I’m here, and even what the point of this whole life thing is anyway. With numerous certifications and licenses in the healing arts under my belt now, I’ve got some pretty strong game in the areas of healing and manifestation. These skills have afforded me experiences beyond my wildest dreams- countless book signings (What’s Your What is in its third printing!), trekking on Mount Everest last year, and I was knighted by the Order of the Orthodox Knights of St. John Russian Grand Priory alongside Jack Canfield, Don Miguel Ruiz, Michael Bernard Beckwith, and Lisa Nichols! These experiences are especially meaningful to me because I was not born naturally motivated or confident. Every time someone tells me how the teachings helped them keep going when they wanted to give up, well, that means everything to me. That’s what inspires me to keep sharing doable tools and practices that clarify and activate our unique gifts, because when each of us shows up fully expressed, our presence becomes part of the healing of humanity.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
That’s easy. Michael Bernard Beckwith saw me clearly before I could see myself. I felt who I was. I felt what I was capable of, but I could have easily ended up being my own best kept secret. I’m extremely introverted and I was definitely at risk of spending my life in a tiny, old studio apartment eating popcorn with M&M’s watching movies about other people living extraordinary lives. Rev Michael consistently kicked me out of the nest! I now regularly speak center state at Agape with over 173 countries and territories streaming in. That kind of reach has provided opportunities beyond my wildest dreams- teaching and speaking internationally and supporting well-known people. Rev Michael saw me and continues to see me. For that I am forever grateful. Albert Einstein said, “There comes that mysterious meeting in Life, when someone acknowledges who we are and what we can be, igniting the circuits of our highest potential. I see this as the appearance of an angel and know it to be a moment of grace.” Michael Bernarnd Beckwith is that angel for me.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one thing to my younger self, I’d say, ‘You’re right. What you see is right. What you feel is right. What you know is right. You are plugged in. Stay clear. Trust yourself. It may not feel like it, but you are guided, supported and protected. You will find your people. That yearning you feel to take flight will be met. You were born to fly, Beloved, and you will!’

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Starting in middle school I used to doodle during classes. I wrote: ‘I am here to develop myself as much as is possible in this lifetime.’ Before I even knew what a mantra was, I had one! I will be studying, practicing, growing, and evolving for my entire life. That’s how I’m built and that’s what makes the talks, classes, and writings that come through impactful. I am evolving and therefore, the things I share are continuously upleveling. The more I grow, the more I have to share. It’s a compulsion for me because I know how much I struggled when I didn’t have tools and didn’t know how to handle challenging situations. Paying it forward so others don’t have to struggle as long or as hard as I did is an honor. That’s my mission. If I can share a practical, measurable tool or resource that soothes out someone’s nervous system and regulates their emotional system so they can move into a creative, impactful, solution-oriented brain state, well, the ripple effects of that one adjustment are massive and far reaching. That balanced, emotionally regulated person now has access to clarifying and activating their unique gift. When you are doing what you came here to do and I’m doing what I came here to do, meaningful change happens for ourselves, our families, communities, the world, and our sweet planet. I’m part of the team of people on the planet at this time who are here to evolve humanity forward and my guess is that, because you are reading this, you are too!

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
Nature is my happy place, especially mountains. When I’m trekking up a mountain, I find the mixture of extreme beauty and extreme challenge deeply satisfying. I spent two years training for the trek to basecamp on Mount Everest. During that time, I hiked the Ice Walls of British Columbia, Mt Ausangate in Peru, the Grand Tetons, and many other mountain ranges. The mix of silence, challenge, and fierce beauty, permeates me with a sense of deep peace. It’s like entering the land before time- before cars and phones. Before social media. The purity of the mountains- their relentless, unforgiving beauty- soothes my nervous system and cleanses me with profound peace.
