Good morning Alexis , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Great question! My spiritual community. Through the years, a lot about me has changed. I now have many titles, certifications and responsibilities under my belt. But to answer the question directly, what has been bringing me the most joy lately is the growth of my spiritual community. It’s been such a blessing to witness people from all walks of life come together in a safe space where they can share, heal, and feel truly supported. Watching the transformations, the breakthroughs, and even the small everyday wins within the community fills my heart in ways I can’t even describe.
Another big source of joy has been seeing the skincare brand I created a formula for officially launch here in the U.S. As a certified herbalist, being able to craft formulas rooted in natural botanicals and holistic care was such a labor of love. To now see those products reach people and support their skincare journeys is incredibly fulfilling. Knowing that my work is helping others feel confident, radiant, and cared for brings me so much happiness. Both the community and the skincare line feel like extensions of my purpose, and being able to pour my energy into them brings me endless joy.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Alexis Jade Walker, and I am a mother, spiritual practitioner, mindset coach, certified herbalist, and skincare formulator. My journey has been about creating spaces and tools that help people heal, reconnect with themselves, and embody their highest potential. Through my online spiritual community, I guide individuals with rituals, teachings, and collective practices that focus on protection, manifestation, and self-love. It’s a sacred space where people feel supported and empowered to grow spiritually while being part of a like-minded community.
Alongside my spiritual work, I have a background in luxury aesthetics, which shaped my deep appreciation for beauty, confidence, and care at the highest level. That experience led me into holistic skincare, where I had the honor of formulating products for a Korean Skincare brand called Cheongsuyeon, that recently launched in the U.S. — blending plant-based botanicals with intention to support healthy, radiant skin.
What makes my journey unique is the way I weave together motherhood, spirituality, herbalism, and beauty into everything I do. At the heart of my work is a desire to help others feel seen, supported, and confident both inside and out.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I felt the need to keep my ideas and gifts small. I learned to silence the inner voice that wanted to challenge the unknown, and I carried the fear of never measuring up to who I knew, deep within my soul, I was destined to be.
Over time, society tried to place me in boxes — telling me to follow the traditional path, to be practical, to fit into roles that didn’t honor my true essence. But at my core, I was always a healer, a nurturer, and a visionary. Returning to that part of myself — through my work as a mother, spiritual practitioner, herbalist, and skincare formulator — has been the most liberating journey of my life. In many ways, I feel like I’ve come full circle, back to who I always was before the world tried to tell me otherwise.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a time I almost gave up. When I lost my job and my unemployment ran out, I had to lean completely into faith and the unknown. Every time I had a need, money and resources would show up right on time in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I leaned on the Book of Psalms like my life depended on it, and I kept my faith alive through rituals — like blowing cinnamon into my doorway every first of the month to draw abundance.
As I walked through this, God continued to meet me with miracles. I stayed in an apartment rent-free for 10 months without ever being evicted. Money that was owed to me would suddenly appear — sometimes in the exact dollar amount of a financial loss I had just experienced. Clients I hadn’t heard from in months would start booking sessions again. Opportunities would open at the very moment I felt I couldn’t go any further.
What’s even more beautiful is that as I was living through these miracles, God began sending me clients who were going through almost the same challenges. I was able to pour into them from a place of lived experience, offering proof that abundance and provision show up even in our lowest moments. I truly wanted to give up, but God made it impossible — because every time I reached rock bottom, a rush of faith-boosting abundance flowed in. That is my testimony….At least one of them.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Herbal healing. Plant medicine. Backwood remedies. Conjure. Those old school methods our great-grandparents used that our parents now shy away from. We need to get back to the old ways… our ancestors had it right. As I am currently studying pharmacology, the first medicines were created from herbs, flowers, roots, seeds and saps. They didn’t have pharmacists, they had Sangomas, Mgangas, Babalawos, Shamans and Shen Yi’s. Medicine is just as much cultural as it is physical and chemical. It is a spiritual craft and a gift from the divine.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel the most at peace when I am spending time with my son and I catch a glimpse of a smile and in that smile and behind his eyes I can see pure joy. Sometimes he is even humming a little tune and swinging his feet. [laugh] He has no idea I’m watching and observing him while he’s doing it and I just sit and watch and admire him.
My son DJ might be the sweetest and most kind-hearted person I know. He literally randomly comes to me and hugs me for absolutely no reason several times throughout the day. He thanks me for every little thing- “thank you for the food.” , “thank you for helping me put on my clothes.”, “thank you for packing me a snack.” He is beyond polite, he is rooted in gratitude. I never taught him to thank me or anyone for such small things, he does it because he sincerely feels that way.
When we watch movies together or go out to eat and he’s really enjoying the food, and he has this little grin of satisfaction and contentment on his face? That’s what I live for. When you know your child has zero cares in the world, they trust you, they are having fun and fully present in what they’re experiencing and enjoying themselves while doing it. It’s really the simplicity of it. I find myself staring at him and grinning because I am really lucky to have him.
