We’re looking forward to introducing you to Aline Fiuza Teixeira. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Aline, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Two days ago, I launched the Flourish menu subscription, a monthly menu designed specifically for women who are in perimenopause and/or cycle sync, divided into 4 weeks for each phase of her cycle: follicular, ovulatory, luteal, and menstrual. Each week explains what is happening in our bodies, our nutritional needs, and what to expect from energy levels and productivity, then goes into a menu with a few days of cooking, the recipes, and a shopping list. I felt extremely proud of myself for starting something, for trying a new career path for myself, which could possibly be more fulfilling than cooking for celebrities, because I am actually helping women, and we need it.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Because I struggled with stomach ulcers from a young age and found no solution in Western medicine, I turned to natural remedies, which shaped my belief that food is medicine. After culinary school, I studied nutrition and Ayurvedic medicine, which made my career unique. Over the past 20 years, I’ve been a chef, and for 10 of those years, I worked as a private chef, using my combined skills as a chef, nutritionist, and Ayurvedic practitioner to help clients feel better. For the last five years, I was a chef and nutritionist for Channing Tatum. Through that experience, I’ve seen firsthand how transformative personalized nutrition can be. Now, I’m launching an online business focused on supporting women through perimenopause by bringing the same food-as-medicine approach to help them regain their well-being.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Honestly, it was Channing Tatum. He believed in my career and abilities more than I did. I used to think of myself as just a chef with no real value. He helped me get a work visa—which is a big deal as an immigrant—and that showed me how much he valued what I do. Because he trusted me, we saw great results in his body and eating habits. That made me realize I had more value to offer to society than I believed before, and that’s why I’m now launching a career to help women.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
As a Brazilian, giving up is not an option. I’ve made big changes in my life. I’ve changed countries three times, and the most recent shift was going from being a full-time private chef to launching an online career with no guarantee of success. People ask me, “What if it doesn’t work out?” For me, not working out is not an option. I have to make it work somehow. Yes, there were multiple times I was extremely exhausted and wished it could all be over or that someone could save me. But I knew I had to save myself, so I kept pushing through and became very resilient in the process.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
One of my best friend, Cory Carolin. She’s the sweetest, most loving, and genuinely giving person I know. She’s always trying to help others, and her kindness is truly rare. She’s completely authentic—who you see is who she is—and everyone who knows her just wants to spend more time with her. It’s like she has goodness oozing out of her pores.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
When I am home cooking for myself, it feels like I connect with the divine and channel the recipe.
