Meet Elizabeth Moradi of Blissed Events in Calabasas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Moradi.

Elizabeth, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Being the only ones in our family to flee Iran during the revolution, my parents and I came to America with basically nothing. They took on any job they could; I remember riding the bus with my mom to her babysitting and house cleaning jobs. For the longest time, we lived in a trailer and my only wish as a child was for a real home with real walls.

My parents really built themselves from scratch and gave me a life full of opportunity, where I could go to school. So I did. With an MBA and growing experience in the entertainment industry, I built a career for myself. I just never realized that starting a family of my own would change things.

Deciding to quit my corporate career and stay home for my baby was very difficult but also gave me the first taste of freedom that I needed to ultimately lead me to an entrepreneurial path in life. A hobby and passion for design turned profession and here I am, the face of Blissed!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Definitely not a smooth road getting to where I am, but interestingly enough I feel like the biggest challenge is ahead. Every industry has been hit hard with the outbreak of the Corona virus and we haven’t even felt the real effects yet. These are uncertain times but we have to have faith and believe that together we’ll overcome.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Blissed Events story. Tell us more about the business.
Blissed is a one woman show! I do it all from coordinating and planning, actual on site styling and designing to taking all the photographs! I pride myself in creating a truly custom experience, unique to each client and their desires.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t believe in luck but hard work and the man upstairs played every role and had everything to do with my life and business.
