Rising Stars: Meet Lauri Albert of West Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauri Albert.

Hi Lauri, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I didn’t grow up thinking I would become a Spiritual Medium. For most of my life, I thought I was just ‘too sensitive’ which is what I was told by my family.

As a child, I was very sensitive to energy without realizing it. I would walk in a room and immediately feel where everyone was emotionally. I would know right away if someone was sad, angry, peaceful or even very happy without anyone ever speaking.
Then, when I was 35, something extraordinary happened to me that began my beautiful journey. My father passed away and I was so honored to be in the room with him but as I sat there sad and feeling lost, I felt in my heart that my Dad was actually in the upper corner of the room and as I looked up, I just said out loud, “I’ve got this, Dad. I’ll take care of her.” meaning my mother.

Fast forward to a year or so later, needing a new kind of peace in my life, I began meditating, which was life-changing in and of itself but I began to understand that there was something happening that felt different than simply sitting in stillness. I began seeing things as I was meditating…blueish purple blobs that seemed alive somehow. It was then I heard a ‘voice’ asking me if I wanted to explore what was out there for me Spiritually. It seemed like all that was needed was for me to say ‘yes’. So, not one to shy away from a challenge, ‘Yes’ was my answer!

Right away, my life shifted into this world of Mediumship, Intuition, and Spiritual development. I felt this strong pull to explore the gifts Spirit had given me and to use them in ways that could help bring comfort, clarity, and peace to others. Realizing that this was truly my calling completely lit me up — it felt like everything in my life finally clicked into place.

That was over 20 years ago and today, I offer Spirit-led private Mediumship and Psychic readings and Empowerment Coaching as well as Mediumship Development Courses and Circles.

I’m the author of the best selling Manifestation Journal for Beginners, a hands on guide that helps people work with intention, clarity, and aligned action. Inside this book/journal, I walk readers through the foundations of Manifestation with simple exercises, reflections, and prompts designed to build confidence, deepen self trust, and open the door to more abundance in every aspect of their lives.

In addition, I am also the creator of ‘The Spirit Room’ on Patreon, a Spiritual community designed for those who crave consistent Spiritual nourishment, community and real-time guidance as they walk their Spiritual path. Members receive exclusive content such as themed livestreams, meditations, development circles, intuitive insights, and behind-the-scenes access—along with a deeper, more personal connection to me.

My view on Spirituality is that everyone has challenges in their lives and seeking guidance from Spirit can be a surprising avenue in discovering answers!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Is life a smooth experience for anyone? My Spiritual journey has definitely not been a smooth road. I like to look at it as a Spirit initiation. My belief is that every doubt, hesitation, derogatory comment received and low point has thrust me into a deeper level of trust in Spirit and self knowing.

As a Medium and Psychic, I’m sure you can imagine the comments and attitude toward me as I grow in Spirit. When I first stepped into my Mediumship and Psychic gifts, some friends and family approached what I do, from what I understand now to be, a place of fear. Fear sometimes is present when we don’t understand something and don’t exactly know how to react. However, instead of defending myself, I chose to stay rooted in a place of love and I let their reactions be their own journey while I continued to honor mine. Love is the frequency I choose to live in, which is probably why I am known as ‘A Happy Medium’ and from that place, I can hold compassion for their fear without letting it dim my own light.

My path hasn’t been 100% smooth because I feel like am being shaped for depth, integrity, and the kind of wisdom you can only obtain by walking through the fire and choosing to rise above.

I am a Spiritual Medium, Certified Meditation Teacher with davidji, Intuitive Educator, podcast host and author of the best-selling book/journal ‘Manifestation Journal for Beginners’.

What does success mean to you?
Success, to me, is not measured by fame, numbers, or how busy life becomes. Success is living in alignment with Spirit, trusting my intuition, and allowing my soul to guide the way with love, authenticity, and compassion. It is creating space where people feel seen, healed, inspired, and reminded that they are never alone.

Success is witnessing transformation — watching someone reconnect with hope, discover their inner light, or feel the presence of a loved one in Spirit. It is honoring my gifts while continuing to grow as both a human being and a Spiritual soul.
