Life & Work with Amanda Chase

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Chase.

Hi Amanda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
From the age of 15, I dreamed of creating a magazine that would inspire the world to live their dream life. Every decision of my life has been to achieve that dream. 17 years later, I find myself living in Los Angeles supporting conscious entrepreneurs in creating their dream life with tools and resources that are made with intentionality and authenticity. The magazine should be coming in 2022.

I first started my journey going to college and studying Psychology and then Visual Communications. I used my college credits for an internship in NYC for fashion magazines then after working my way up the corporate ladder in the creative advertising industries in the fashion industry. After five years, I decided to pivot my career from fashion to holistic wellness. During these two years, I supported these brands in creating conscious content to create their dream life and business.

In 2019 I tore my ACL and decided to pivot my business again into something more sustainable. I am now creating content for my community and creating intentional content for the world. I’m grateful to be here today.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The main struggles during my journey were being true to myself and my desires. I thought working harder would lead to more alignment but in my experience, it’s more important to be intentional with our time and creations as that will pay off much more in the long run.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am the Creative Director for ōSHen, a conscious content studio for conscious entrepreneurs and sustainable brands. I am most proud of our unique perspective in bridging the gap between high-end beautiful art and creation with intentionality. Our specialty is being able to discover and express a person or brand’s essence out into the world through intentional content. I’m also very proud of the community, The Tide, I created last year during COVID. This space has been exactly what we all needed –a space to be vulnerable and share the reality of what is truly happening behind the scenes of our creations with a trusted community.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The world is seeking more integral people, brands, and content. We want to invest our money, time, and energy with brands that are true to themselves, their practice, and their craft. I believe more people are trusting the slow growth process than overnight success.
