Inspiring Conversations with Ceeluxx Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ceeluxx Brown.

Hi Ceeluxx, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Stemming from childhood, I’ve always been musically inclined. Both of my parents knew how to Rap as well as my brother, so it’s just in my blood. From singing in my church choir to playing the violin in elementary and middle school to writing my first song freshmen year of high school. Funny story, it was actually a competition between my older brother Tim & I, seeing who can come up with the best song. Mines ended up being a love song about my first boyfriend in middle school: HOW EMBARRASSING, lol. Shortly after, I purchased a journal and began writing rhymes from there. My very first songs ever recorded are available on SoundCloud and boy do I see the improvement from then to now. Every one of my songs tells a story from a past relationship, friendship, experience or even my thoughts. Music is my escape to voice anything I feel or think I may not normally say out loud. It has helped me when I’m upset, feeling down or ecstatic. Everyday, I become more confident and perfect my craft, something I am seriously passionate about.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been an easy road. I’ve faced loss of friendships, family members as well as becoming a mother during my music career. I’ve had an ex-boyfriend try to discourage me, belittle and tear down my confidence regarding my music to build himself up.

What I love about the city is the scenery, beaches and activities you can partake. What I like least is the commute and traffic.
