Daily Inspiration: Meet Loyal XI

Today we’d like to introduce you to Loyal XI.

Hi Loyal, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Being around my musically inclined family is what sparked an interest in music for me. Hearing my mom sing on Sundays at church and hearing my dad play all of the latest and dopest music at my grandparent’s record shop definitely made me take a liking to music that moved me. I’d go to school and do the talent shows and take theatre arts classes, which lead me to fall in love with entertaining people. I’d sing cover songs and even songs that I wrote on YouTube, rap verses that I snuck and wrote in back of class and the reaction I’d get from my friends at school made me want to keep going and explore more options, like actually recording music in the studio. Which I did at the age of 16.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It most definitely has been a challenging journey pursuing a career in music. Family isn’t always going to be in your corner first starting out, you may not receive the support you’re looking for from friends and family, nonetheless keep striving, stay consistent and pray. It can challenge your patience, faith and even relationships.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Rapper, singer, songwriter and entrepreneur from Long Beach, CA. Specializing in blending rap and R&B together, Loyal brings the vibes. Being able to wear multiple hats to get the job done is what I’m most proud of. Rather it’s engineering, songwriter, being the artist, and occasionally producing, I’m willing to do what it takes to craft the best product (song) possible. I feel that’s what separates me from most artists. I know my lane, I know what I’m great at, I know what areas I need work in.

What are your plans for the future?
I recently released an album titled “Pure Heart (deluxe) however a lot more music will be released when the time is right, but for now visuals and even shows are what I’m mostly looking forward to. For the past year, the world has been shut down, but I’m excited about getting back out there and doing shows, performing is something I enjoy doing and take pride in. Loyal XI Live soon come.
