Today we’d like to introduce you to Yoso.
Hi Yoso, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started music as a way to speak on what I was living through and what I knew I was capable of becoming. At first it was just expression, but it quickly turned into something bigger. The more I created, the more I realized this wasn’t just a hobby for me — it was part of who I am. I’ve kept building my sound, my confidence, and my vision, turning real life, growth, and pain into music people can actually feel.
Since then, I’ve been focused on growing as both an artist and a brand. I’ve put real work into my performances, visuals, consistency, and overall identity, while continuing to evolve creatively. Where I am today is the result of staying committed, learning through every stage, and trusting my process. I’m still growing, but I’m more focused, more intentional, and more prepared than ever for what’s next.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve had to build everything from the ground up, often without consistent support, while learning both the creative and business sides on my own. A lot of times I’ve had to figure things out independently—whether that’s marketing, performing, or navigating the industry.
I’ve also dealt with missed opportunities, people not following through, and situations where I wasn’t given the same level of preparation or energy. On top of that, balancing real life responsibilities, including being a father, has been a challenge—but it’s also one of my biggest motivations.
Mentally, staying consistent through the highs and lows has been one of the toughest parts. Not every moment reflects the work you put in, but I’ve learned to stay focused, adapt, and keep pushing regardless.
Overall, every challenge has shaped me into a more disciplined, self-sufficient, and intentional artist, and it’s only made me more locked in on where I’m going.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an artist and creative focused on building a full experience through my music, visuals, and overall brand. I specialize in turning real life experiences, growth, and emotion into music that feels authentic and relatable, while also bringing energy and presence when I perform. My work isn’t just about songs—it’s about creating a lifestyle and identity people can connect with.
I’ve been developing not only my sound but also my brand, from visuals to marketing to live performances. I take pride in being hands-on with everything I do, making sure every piece of content reflects who I am and where I’m going. Recently, I’ve been building momentum through performances, content, and consistent releases, including being part of major events like SXSW.
What I’m most proud of is my growth—both as an artist and as a person. I’ve gone from just creating to being intentional about everything, understanding my value, and moving with purpose.
What sets me apart is my mindset and versatility. I don’t just rely on talent—I focus on consistency, branding, and long-term vision. I’m building something bigger than music, and I approach it with discipline, awareness, and a clear sense of direction
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My son deserves the most credit. He gives me purpose and keeps me focused every day. Being a father pushed me to move with more intention and take everything I do more seriously.
A lot of my journey has been self-driven, which helped me build discipline, independence, and a strong sense of direction. I’ve had support from people in my creative circle or other communities who have provided opportunities and platforms to grow, and I appreciate those moments.
At the same time, I’ve learned to rely on myself and stay consistent regardless of the circumstances.
Everything I’m building is not just for me—it’s for my son and the future I’m creating
