Rising Stars: Meet Tarik Lord

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tarik Lord.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am an immigrant from an island called Saint Lucia. I’m only following through on my passion to inspire positive change in the world. I am adamant on doing that through my music.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The heaviest struggle was balancing three jobs and still having time for music. Promoting, studio time and mixing all cost alot so getting those funds together have been hard. I cut back on the amount of jobs I work now after proper budgeting but getting up there was the hardest thing.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a songwriter and creative director. I direct music videos now and provide lyrics and melody ideas for different artists.
