Today we’d like to introduce you to Stevie.
Hi Stevie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up on Disney. Born in 1992, some of my earliest memories are of watching Disney animated movies on VHS. Disney was such a big part of my childhood, and those movies, characters, and stories had a lasting impact on me—not only as a fan, but also as an artist and creative.
I started drawing at a very young age, and Disney became one of the biggest creative influences in my life. I loved the characters, the animation, and the storytelling, and I think that early connection with Disney played a major role in shaping me into the creative person I am today.
I began getting into content creation around 2011, experimenting with social media and finding ways to combine my love of Disney with my creativity. Eventually, I created my Instagram page, DisneyLivin, as a place where I could share that passion with other Disney fans.
For several years, I continued creating and growing the page, but everything really changed in 2024. DisneyLivin began taking off and attracting a much larger audience. As I saw more and more people connecting with the content, I decided to dive even deeper into what I loved most about Disney and focus heavily on nostalgia.
A lot of my content today centers around those nostalgic Disney moments—the movies, music, characters, parks, and little details that bring people back to their childhood. I love creating content that gives people that feeling of, “Oh my gosh, I remember that!” There’s something really special about being able to tap into memories that so many people share.
What started as a personal passion for Disney and creativity has grown into a community of people who genuinely enjoy the content I create. I’m incredibly fortunate to have an audience that continues to support DisneyLivin, and it’s been amazing to see something that began with my childhood love of Disney evolve into what it is today.
In a lot of ways, Disney has been a constant thread throughout my life—from the VHS tapes I watched as a kid, to the drawings I created growing up, to discovering content creation, and ultimately building DisneyLivin. It feels pretty special that something that inspired me creatively as a child is still inspiring me to create today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Obstacles and Challenges
One of the biggest challenges of content creation is continuously pushing yourself to come up with new ideas. When you’re creating consistently, you can’t always rely on what worked yesterday—you’re constantly thinking about how to keep things fresh, engaging, and exciting for your audience.
That can be especially challenging when your content is centered around nostalgia. With DisneyLivin, I want my content to capture that warm, familiar, comforting feeling that comes with Disney nostalgia, while also making it feel fresh and entertaining. I want people to experience that feeling of remembering something from their childhood, but I also want to present it in a way that feels new and gives them a reason to stop, watch, and engage.
Another challenge is making sure I don’t become so immersed in Disney and content creation that I forget to simply enjoy Disney for myself. When you’re creating content day after day about something you love, it can be easy for your passion to start feeling like work.
That’s why I make a conscious effort to have moments where I’m not creating at all. I’ll go to the Disney parks and spend the day simply taking everything in without worrying about filming or turning the experience into a video. I’ll watch a Disney movie without thinking about how I could turn it into content. I make time to enjoy Disney simply because I love it.
I’ve learned that those moments are actually an important part of the creative process. Sometimes you have to step away from creating in order to refill your creative cup. When I give myself the opportunity to experience the things I’m passionate about without thinking about content, I come back feeling inspired, refreshed, and excited to create again. Ultimately, taking care of yourself and reconnecting with the reason you started creating in the first place can lead to better, more authentic work.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
The content I create through DisneyLivin is centered around my love of Disney, nostalgia, storytelling, and creativity. A large part of my work is creating short-form videos that highlight memorable Disney moments, characters, movies, music, theme parks, and nostalgic details that connect with fans of all ages. I especially enjoy taking moments that people remember from their childhood and presenting them in a fun, creative way that brings those memories back to life.
In addition to video content, I also incorporate my background as an artist into DisneyLivin. I create and feature Disney-inspired artwork on my page, which allows me to combine two of my lifelong passions—Disney and drawing. Art has always been an important part of my connection to Disney, so being able to incorporate that into the content I create today feels like a natural extension of my creative journey.
Overall, DisneyLivin is a combination of video, art, nostalgia, and storytelling. My goal with everything I create is to capture the feeling that makes Disney so special to me and share that feeling with an audience of fellow Disney fans.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
At the heart of everything I do, what makes me happiest is simply being creative. I’ve always loved having an idea in my head and finding a way to turn it into something tangible that other people can experience and connect with.
For me, creativity takes many different forms. I love cinematography and the process of capturing a moment through a camera, as well as editing, storytelling, writing, and finding creative ways to bring an idea to life. I also love drawing and art, which has been a part of who I am since I was a child.
What I enjoy most is that there really isn’t just one way for me to be creative. One day that might mean creating a video, another day it might be drawing, developing a story, experimenting with a new visual idea, or simply finding a different way to communicate something I’m passionate about.
Ultimately, creativity is what energizes me. Whether I’m behind a camera, working on an edit, drawing, or developing an idea, I’m happiest when I’m creating something that didn’t exist before.
