Rising Stars: Meet Phaedra Goodgame of Yucca Valley, CA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Phaedra Goodgame.

Phaedra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey began as a personal exploration of beauty, not just as something we see, but as something we feel. Over time, I came to understand that beauty is a sacred practice… a way of being cultivated through ritual, intention, and self-expression.

After years working in fashion and holistic wellness, I opened Sundarï Studio just outside of Joshua Tree. Sundarï is a boutique and wellness space grounded in the philosophy of “Beauty as Ritual.” It’s a sanctuary where women can reconnect to themselves through timeless clothing, self-care rituals, and mindful design.

My path has been anything but linear. A blend of intuition, resilience, and reinvention, but every chapter has led me closer to living in alignment with my purpose: reminding others that beauty is not a performance, it’s presence.

Everything I do, from curating capsule wardrobes to offering holistic facials and styling sessions, is rooted in the idea that when we slow down and treat our daily rituals as sacred, we transform not only how we look, but how we feel.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. We’re based in Yucca Valley, which is a beautiful but challenging place to run a retail business. Especially where we are located, as there is not much foot traffic. I’ve had to be incredibly adaptable and creative to keep things flowing.

When I first started, most of our sales came from online, but with the constant shifts in social media algorithms, it’s become harder to reach the same audience that once felt so connected to the brand. It’s been a journey of continual evolution, learning to pivot while staying grounded in purpose. Every challenge has taught me something valuable about resilience, community, and trusting the process.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work lives at the intersection of style, beauty, and soul. Through Sundarï Studio, I curate a collection of timeless clothing and offer holistic treatments and styling sessions that invite women to slow down and reconnect to themselves. My philosophy, “Beauty as Ritual,” is about approaching how we dress and care for ourselves as a sacred practice that reflects our inner world as much as our outer expression.

I’m most proud of creating a space that feels intimate and intentional, where women feel seen and inspired rather than sold to. What sets my work apart is the depth of energy and consciousness behind it. Every piece, treatment, and experience is chosen to nurture presence, confidence, and authenticity. It’s less about trends and more about timeless connection to self.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that the work I do is not truly my own. I see myself as a channel, a conduit for the divine to move through me. When I stay in that awareness, everything I create becomes an offering of service rather than something driven by ego or outcome. Making a living is necessary, but the deeper fulfillment comes from knowing that my work helps others reconnect to their own light.
