Rising Stars: Meet Ostarè

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ostarè.

Hi Ostarè, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been living in LA for the past eight years. Prior to that, I lived in Santa Barbara where I graduated with honors in business accounting with electives in music. Being an immigrant from France, I expected to have a culture shock as everybody else, leaving one environment to another. However, that was not the case. I immediately gravitated towards mentors who put me on the right path.

America was unlike any other place I ever visited. I was impressed by the many opportunities, generous people, and the variety of foods. America felt like home, and since then I only travelled for music purposes and made this my home.

I used to sing in churches, choirs…etc. Then, something magical happened and I found myself on Jay leno show. The next thing you know, I m performing in Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, Orange County, Asia, Europe, Hollywood and more.

I evolved a lot after I moved to LA where everything is happening and my artistry grew beyond what I have envisioned, I landed on the top 40 a couple of times in the music charts, even the top 6 on UK Charts. Later I was given the opportunity to perform in Asia. I even went viral, and I ended up on magazines that I never imagined in my wildest dreams I would ever be on, such as Vogue, Elle, Gala, Reuters, MSN, Yahoo, with the biggest names of the industry such as Nicole Kidman, Will Smith, Paris Hilton, Pink and many more.

One of the delightful surprises I got out of being in LA, I attended many seminars like Tony Robbins so I walked on fire which was magical. I am devoted to personal growth and eventually, I got certified as a motivational life coach. I volunteer at an organization in Culver City where I actually dedicate few hours a month as a coach. Seeing others triumph makes me happy.

Eventually a life-altering event had me re-evaluate the messages I was bringing to the world. I discovered I wasn’t authentic to who God created me to be and to my mission. I was chasing success and did whatever everyone else thought I should be doing.

Ostarè is a rebirth, beyond music I am devoted to healing the inner child in everyone. By sharing my gifts from God, I am committed to igniting the champion within and empowering people to be their best selves!

The moment of my accident, I realized this could have been it, I saw a flash of the impact I was leaving behind me. After that, I decided to surrender to the Gifts God put in my heart and be my true self. My first single “God Loves a Woman” is a message from my journey that no matter the hardship I encounter, God loves me no matter what. I no longer need to seek love outside of me and if everyone discovers this connection with God or any spiritual belief a person has, then we can help heal many people especially children and women who experienced abuse, violence or any kind of neglect as a child where a parent isn’t present.

Soon after, I wrote “Show’em What You’ve Got,” which debuts on February 15th, 2022 as well as the music video which comes out February 22, 2022

This song is the next step of healing, where we show ourselves how to show up and take responsibility for everything from the failures, the successes, the rights and wrongs we do, making us stronger and never letting anyone tell us we’re not worthy or good enough.

Our looks, weight, status doesn’t determine who we are. Our character does and how we treat ourselves is a key to what we get back from the reality we perceive as true. That is why connecting with our authentic self is so important.

That is exactly what I did to take my power back and not surrender to circumstances. If I can get myself back with all the obstacles that I encountered as an immigrant, artist, and as a single woman living the dream in LA, then everything is possible.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In addition to being a female in the music industry, coming from another country, I also struggled with identity crisis speaking multiple languages while the idea of belonging anywhere or finding home was just out of reach. One thing I learned is changing a country doesn’t make all the pain go away. This is why embracing those experiences is key, we don’t have to like them or agree with them, we simply accept what happened and move on. Better yet, I used that as a fuel to my mission and became invincible and unstoppable.

In addition to the incident that happened which almost ended my life, I learned more about self-care, self-love, traditional healing methods, and simply appreciation of life as I’ve never done before.

I also struggled finding the right producers, managers, and genuine contracts, which led me to appreciate the people that see me for who I am and respect me at this point in my career. Definitely, I run into a lot of unworkability on so many levels, yet I am proud of my triumph and staying true to my values regardless of the challenges. Nothing is handed to me. I worked to get where I am.

I developed a deeper appreciation as all these experiences shaped my character. I learned generosity because I saw greed. I learned respect cause I saw disrespect…

Being an empath, my first reaction is to cry and feel it all, then once I allowed myself to express the emotion, I move on and focus on my mission. Sometimes, I feel magical angels are watching over me and sending me the right people, the right message to be unstoppable. I learned that self-growth is like running a marathon. You just can’t stop the training.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a singer/songwriter/actor and a motivational coach, I was discovered by Johnny Miller after I went viral. My work is not limited to music, it is beyond music. My mission is to dedicated my art whether it is a song, a book and much more to igniting the champion within. Without Healing the innerchild, we can’t even know who we are. This is my experience and this is why I m dedicated to doing just that thanks to a team of people I work with that are behind this mission. My heart is also dedicated to giving a voice to small local businesses and giving them a platform to share their stories and gifts.

After God loves a woman, we are releasing “Show’em What You’ve Got,” which debuts on February 15th, 2022 as well as the music video which comes out February 22, 2022.

Currently, I am working on more projects and shooting a new music video for my third single this month. It will be a big surprise, as the music is a mix of angelic sound and dance music. I mix live instruments with electronic, and the message is very freeing.

How do you think about happiness?
Nothing makes me happy more than just being in nature with God, dancing, entertaining, being with animals especially cows and children. I have a special connection with children and that is beyond what I can express. I can see it in their eyes. Therefore, I donated my 30 inches hair to Children with Hair loss foundation. They give free wigs to kids that are losing their hair due to illness. I would love to see people donating to this charity so little girls can have hair. I also love traveling, sports and cooking for large groups.

One thing also that brings me happiness is knowing my triumph over the past gives someone out there courage, hope, strength, a smile. I love impacting people in a positive way, the same way I appreciate everyone that has impacted my life. The best gifts in life are those we can’t buy such as loyal friends, impactful mentors, genuine care…etc. These can save people’s lives especially challenged teenagers.

Happiness if find is simple things, while traveling the world, I discovered stories of small local businesses moved my heart to tears sometimes. I discover authenticity, generosity, customer service at a whole new level, and gifts that I didn’t know existed. For example, in Oklahoma, I found a gift shop that carried unique pieces of high-quality products, mugs, cups…etc. and I saw a calf being born as the owner had a bison farm. The calf was dancing around within few hours…etc.

Here is the baby Bison/calf
