Rising Stars: Meet Leo Sanchez of Long Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leo Sanchez

Hi Leo, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my business with the last $100 in my bank account in 2020.

I purchased a cricut cutter and started learning how to make Tshirts, from there I scaled to stickers, 3D printing, 3D modeling to then 3D animation and game development.

In 2022, I semi gave up, at the core something told me to keep going, but I had given up deep inside.

In May 2023, Snoop Dogg and Joe from Loud Luxury reached out me. At the time, I knew very little about animation and promised to Joe that I would learn to get my foot in the door.

I stayed up NIGHTS, like you have no idea how many nights, and I stayed up teaching myself animation while I went to school full time.

Less than years later, I can animate Shrek, Deadpool, Goku, you name it. All while being on some of the biggest stages in the world like EDC and Lollapalooza.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been smooth, it has been a lot of ups and downs. Mainly because of the bad economy, the stress of being a full time student, my health issues, and my father’s illness.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in 3D animation, I am self taught solely off of YouTube. I went from not knowing anything about animation, ti some of the biggest music stages in the world.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Playing video games with my cousins and wondering how is it that they made video games in 2006.
