Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Boyles.
Lee, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Bubbles & Ballgowns 2019 was my first public event after it being a house party previously. I was searching for my purpose and felt discouraged until I decided to marry my live of throwing parties, thrifting and giving back. I thought surely there must be success in this recipe somewhere! I decided to sell thrifted evening wear to ladies, while enjoying champagne, and give the money to charity. Alas Bubbles & Ballgowns debuted in 2019 and I raised $2000 for local non-profit A work In progress, a day program for adults with disabilities. It was near and dear to my heart as my brother was a client there. The feeling of hosting a fun event and handing over a check to someone who really needed and appreciated it was addicting. My last year’s donation was $25k to the Los Angeles County Commission For Women Resilience Scholarship Program. I was recently honored at their Gala for my charitable contributions to the city of LA and spoke in front of 600 people in a Ballgown!! How many people can say that?! It was an exhilarating experience and one I will not soon forget.
The event is 4/16 this year and tickets may be purchased on Eventbrite.com or at this link. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bubbles-ballgowns-2026-tickets-1983564358392?aff=oddtdtcreator

Cheers to Bubbles!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Even a bumpy road leads to someplace and eventually you find your way. I believe in “fake it til you make it” and it has served me well. No one knows what goes on behind the scenes, they only know what you present to them. Don’t let them see you sweat….pat your brow and move on. If you believe you have a good product or event, make people believe it. Instagram has been a great tool for me to create an illusion online which is an amazing ladies event full of fun, fashion and Philanthropy. Bubbles & Ballgowns has become that with love and persistence. I am constantly delighted in the human spirit as it pertains to giving and helping. My mom always taught me “it never hurts to ask….the worst they can say is no.” I agree because if you don’t ask, the answer will always be no. I don’t like no….so I always ask for donations, sponsors, venues, models, comped services and volunteers! I have been rewarded dozens of times over from people and companies that want to help. I have learned how to provide value when asking for donations and show gratitude and thanks. I think that is the secret sauce! Most people want to help others they just don’t always know how. Contact me and I will tell you how! We are donating to 4 local Los Angeles foster and at risk youth organizations: Make Good, Hope In A Suitcase, Film2Future and For Goodness Cakes this year and need all the help we can get!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a 37 year Flight Attendant with Alaska Airlines and I love my job! I don’t fly often and stayed home most of the time to raise my kids. I felt like their foundation was so important and wanted to be at all school appointments and sports events. Soccer and Lacrosse were top priorities! My last baby left for College this year so I have started flying again. I have run into flight attendants that I have not seen in a decade or two and many still remember me and have offered hugs! Flying very little has allowed me time to work on my Bubbles & Ballgowns event which my husband will say takes 12 months to execute but actually consumes 4-5 months a year. It is hard work, I live it and breathe it but I love it and feel passionate about connecting women through a glamorous event and giving back through philanthropy.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
If you are afraid to take a risk ask yourself, what is the risk in not taking it? Will you miss out? Will anyone not benefit from your personal magic…..because we all have some. If you do things that make you nervous and you prove to yourself you can do it, you are likely to do more. We tell our kids to be brave and take risks, try new things…then we must as well and set that good example. Use your God given gifts and talents to help others and change your life, your community and possibly the world!
