Today we’d like to introduce you to Khadijah Harvin.

Hi Khadijah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Sky rocketing from the gorgeous Prince George’s County Maryland. A 2016 Cum Laude Graduate of the Illustrious Virginia Union University, located in Richmond, Virginia, where earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Entrepreneur Management. During my time at VUU, I has humbly held the title and served as the 87th Miss Virginia Union University 2015-2016, the face of the university and founded and created my own dance team my sophomore year called Superior High Rank Dance Team at Virginia Union University. I continuously stands proudly upon the platform “Love The Skin You’re In” Encouraging All Youth To Embrace All Their Beautiful Flaws With D.A.N.C.E (Determination, Articulation, Networking, Consistency, and Execution). Since graduating from the university, I continued my education and becoming a 2020 graduate from Washington Adventist University, located in Takoma Park, Maryland with a Masters in Business Administration focused in Marketing. I have my own business branding and marketing firm, V.I.P By KC (Vision, Ignites, Purpose). Specializing in creating digital and animation logos for well-established business and start-up businesses. I recently just launched my Luxury Stationery Line of 2021 Planners for the self-made bosses. The goal is to give women the plan to execute and live a luxury lifestyle. This planner collection helps keep you in control and inspired. Putting your plan to action helping you create a lifestyle you don’t have to take a break from while working your passion and living in your purpose. I am a certified Life Coach, motivational speaker and trained dancer. I am constantly living in my God-given purpose to help others strategically plan their goals and dreams, develop and grow their own profitable business plan.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road is never smooth and if it was everyone would be doing it. I truly enjoy the many challenges and obstacles along the way, it’s the few things that actually strengthen us to keep going and to always help remember “your why” and why you started in the first place. Some struggle I do face is reminding myself that I am uniquely me, that I am not in competition with anyone but the old version of myself. I want to consistently grown and evolve as a woman first and a businesswoman second. Diamonds are made under pressure and sometimes we got to go through it to get to it, the end goal is always the reward!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Working full-time in the federal government with so much flexibility allows me to focus on my passion in many areas. I mainly focus on freelance graphic designs, from logos, flyers, invitations, business cards, merchandise, and of course my luxury planner line. I also am a freelance professional dancer constantly learning and perfecting my craft in the dance industry. I am also heavily involved in the community with my Sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Sitting on the executive board committee helping raise money for HBCU students, focused on wellness, and so many more activities and events in the community.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
The things that matter most to me is my faith, my family and my passion. I am a spiritual-based person where God is the center of my life and orders my steps. My family is my core they’re the ones that believe in me when I don’t believe in myself. They continue to always have my best interest supporting and pushing me to the next level. My passion is what I love to do and when you love what you do, it’s never a job. Remembering my why and the end goal is living a life I don’t have to vacation from. There’s plenty of room at the top because the bottom is overcrowded, I never want to look down on anyone else but to help them and bring them up.
