Today we’d like to introduce you to Jules Walcott
Hi Jules, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
“I was born and raised in Long Island, New York, and even as a young girl, I found myself fascinated, inspired by, and intrigued with music. I started playing various instruments at a young age, including guitar, ukulele and piano. Soon after, I became a part of a local band. Being in the band helped me hone my musical skills and allowed me to experience performing and collaborating with others, which further deepened my passion for music.
As I transitioned into a solo career, I began sharing my music on social media, which became a powerful tool in connecting with a broader audience. Platforms like Instagram and TikTok allowed me to reach fans beyond my local community, and I quickly learned how to leverage these spaces to showcase my evolving sound and artistry. This led to exciting opportunities, including collaborations and eventually joining the Ethika Music Familie.
Today, I’m proud of the journey, from playing in a band as a kid to now creating my own music, and I’m excited for what’s next, with new projects on the horizon and a growing connection with fans around the world.”
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
“It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think the challenges have helped shape who I am today. One of the biggest struggles was learning more about myself and truly discovering my worth. That meant letting go of things and people that weren’t good for me as a whole. I had to grow through experiences, including going through a difficult breakup, which taught me a lot about how I want to be loved and treated in love.
That period of self-reflection and healing was the inspiration behind my new song, Deserve. It’s about standing in your truth, knowing what you deserve, and refusing to settle for anything less. While it’s been tough at times, I feel like these struggles have allowed me to create more meaningful music and connect with my audience on a deeper level.”
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
“My work is all about connecting with people through music. I specialize in creating songs that are raw, relatable, and deeply personal, which I think is what sets me apart from others. I’ve always been inspired by my own experiences and emotions, and I pour that into my music. Whether it’s going through a breakup or navigating personal growth, I want my music to be something listeners can feel deeply connected to.
Right now, I’m really excited about my latest single, Deserve. It’s inspired by my own journey of learning about self-worth and what I deserve in love. The music video for Deserve is streaming now on Youtube, and I would love for everyone to watch it, comment, and let me know their thoughts. Fan engagement is everything to me, and I always appreciate hearing how my music impacts others.
What I’m most proud of is my growth as an artist and the ability to evolve while staying true to myself. I’ve put a lot of energy into understanding my sound and message, and that’s allowed me to build a real connection with my audience. I think what really sets me apart is my authenticity—my music reflects who I am, and I’m not afraid to be vulnerable and share my truth. I hope that’s something people resonate with when they listen to my songs.”
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
“I’ve been really fortunate to have some incredible people in my corner who’ve supported and believed in me throughout my journey. My manager, Kuron Madden, has played a huge role in guiding me through the industry and helping me make key decisions that have shaped my career. His belief in my vision has been instrumental in getting me to where I am today.
My family has also been my biggest cheerleaders from day one. They’ve supported my passion for music, even when I was a young girl experimenting with various instruments. Their encouragement gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams, and they continue to be there for me every step of the way.
I also owe a lot to the Ethika Music Familie. Being a part of this team has allowed me to grow as an artist and connect with a wider audience. Their support has helped me take my music to the next level, and I’m excited for what the future holds with them by my side.”
