Rising Stars: Meet Javosski Rembert of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Javosski Rembert

Hi Javosski, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My business journey started 9 years ago while recovering from a neck injury after being in a car accident. I was inspired to create my own line of hats after being on the internet during my recovery. The car accident was the start to my Better-Man life, it showed me I could lose it all if I didn’t take life seriously. What was supposed to be a six-week recovery turned into a seven-month healing process. I chose the Better-Man concept as the business name because my mission was to spread the BM concept to whomever crossed my path. I started with hats because the head represented the conscious. I didn’t intend on creating a clothing line, my mission was to spread my message through my hats. Fast forward to today and I own the Better-Man, the Better-Woman and Royalty by Javosski clothing.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course, it hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve faced all kinds of challenges being a business owner; generating a steady flow of income in business is a challenge in itself. Continuously finding ways to sale merchandise via online, brick and mortar or vending is a daily challenge. I’m a one-man band; therefore, I play all positions when it comes to running my business. So having the energy to create new content for online purposes can be challenging, but it has to be done.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Since I graduated high school, I’ve worked in Health Information at different hospitals in Los Angeles. I started out as a clerk and worked my way up to an Inpatient coder. IP coding is the highest-level of coding in my field. I graduated with my C.C.S in 2012 from KHIM Academy in Carson CA. I’m known for my kind-heart, great personality and beautiful smile. I’m most proud of all the achievements I’ve achieved thus far, although I feel I had a rough start. What’s sets me apart from others is having the courage and willingness to go for the things I want in life even if I fail trying.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
One of the things I like about my city is everyone is trying to put themselves in a better position. Seeing everyone grinding to get ahead motivates others to do the same. One thing I dislike about my city is there’s no days off, you must stay on point to avoid falling off.
