Rising Stars: Meet Jasmine Nicole

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Nicole.

Hi Jasmine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After discovering my passion for producing live events, helping people build their brands, and creating artistic experiences alongside my fiance, Andre Cisco, we moved to LA to really exercise our creative limbs through our creative branding and marketing firm, Deadlogic.

However, as the pandemic approached, business slowed down and we had more free time to reflect on what we value in times of conflict and what we could do to share that with other people. Plants have always played a huge part in my wellness and self-care, something that was much needed in 2020. That’s why we came up with The Nice Plant, a wellness and plant-based brand that delivers plants and all-natural products straight to your door. The idea of wellness does not look the same to everyone and we really wanted to emphasize how important it is to find what works for YOU.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As an e-commerce company, we rely heavily on UPS & USPS. When we launched in June of 2020, both of those services were, to put it frankly, a mess. Getting people their packages on time was priority to us and it was a challenge to do so but we did it! We are also self-funded so it can be challenging to build from scratch and support demand at high levels but it has been a fun journey learning how to make magic during these weird times.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I find myself at the intersection between business and creativity. I love that I have been able to tap into both the business and creative side of things, which isn’t always common for most people. Whether it’s event production or helping someone build their brand, being able to rely heavily on strategy while still being innovative and expressive is a big part of who I am and how I approach my work.
