Rising Stars: Meet Isabel Hoiting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isabel Hoiting.

Hi Isabel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
From early childhood, my trajectory was non-negotiable: a career dedicated to the world of dance. That singular focus culminated in a Bachelor’s degree in Dance and Dance Education in 2016, launching a thriving, nearly decade-long career as a performing artist. Over the years, I graced international stages and contributed to major global productions such as the Eurovision Song Contest and The Voice, collaborating with prominent international artists including Loreen and Duncan Laurence, alongside numerous major national acts.

It proved to be the ultimate masterclass in understanding stage dynamics, production nuance, and what a performer truly requires to excel. Naturally, my career evolved from executing on stage to creating and mentoring behind the scenes. Today, I dedicate myself to shaping the next generation of talent and guiding artists through movement direction and choreography for music videos and live performances.

My signature style blends femininity, sensuality, and groove, with a particular passion for choreography in heels. Drawing from my extensive experience on stage, I focus on creating impactful choreography and authentic performances while helping artists build the confidence and presence needed to truly connect with their audience. Every artist has a unique story; movement is how I help tell it. Ultimately, movement becomes meaningful when it makes people feel something, and having spent years in the spotlight myself, that firsthand artistic intuition remains my greatest strength.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Building a sustainable career in the commercial dance and entertainment industry requires far more than raw talent; it takes grit, adaptability, and unwavering self-belief. Navigating that high-pressure landscape certainly comes with its share of hurdles. From managing intense production timelines and high-stakes camera environments to overcoming physical setbacks and burnout, I learned firsthand how demanding this industry can be on a creative.

Those challenges ultimately became my greatest asset as a Movement Director. Experiencing the relentless push for perfection taught me the vital importance of sustainability, balance, and intentionality. Today, I use those lessons to create empowering, healthy creative environments for the artists I direct. Learning to set boundaries and prioritize artistic integrity hasn’t just shaped my approach to movement. it allows me to guide artists with deep empathy, helping them deliver their most powerful, authentic work without burning out.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the core of my work is helping artists articulate their story and emotion through movement and stage presence. Whether I am directing the artist directly or choreographing the ensemble, every movement must serve a purpose. Background dancers are never just decoration; they exist to amplify the artist’s narrative, deepen the emotional core of the performance, and elevate the overall vision. When working directly with the artist, my focus is always on authenticity, ensuring their movement feels like a natural extension of who they are

I have a distinct passion for working with female artists. I love drawing out their unique feminine power. a mix of strength, elegance, and vulnerability that I believe makes a performer truly magnetic.

Looking back, I am most proud of my unwavering faith in the importance of art. In a world heavily focused on logic, I advocate for returning to feeling, intuition, and raw expression. What sets me apart is pure, limitless passion. This craft is my ultimate driving force, and my dedication to both creating and empowering young talent is something I intend to carry for a lifetime.
