Rising Stars: Meet Crunch of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crunch.

Hi Crunch, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started off writing rap songs in elementary school, then I started making demos and passing out to schoolmates. Later in life I opened on tour for 4xs platinum artist juvenile with Lil Wayne and Birdman of Cash Money records. More recently, I have been signed to indie label Sound Pulse Records. My album “Won’t Give In” has been released.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not been a smooth road at all. My struggles have been discovering an entity to push my music into the main stream. Now being signed to Sound Pulse Records, CEO Lisa Joe is putting forth full efforts to ensure that I become a well known hip hop artist.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a hip-hop, artist, producer, and engineer. I specialize in writing, recording, and performing rap songs. I am known for my writing and rapping. I am most proud of opening on tour for a four times platinum hip-hop artist named juvenile. What sets me apart from others is my rap style, my cadence, and my lyrical substance.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I do not have any advice for finding a mentor, but I can say it’s good to go to different hip-hop events and seminars for networking purposes.
