Hi Cloudy , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am a creative, currently putting music first… Aiming to have a career in music that sets me up to be financially free & explore other creative avenues.

I go by Cloudy The Weather, people that know me call me Cloudy. I started making music when I was 12 or 13 years old… It sounded like sh*t in every way but it made me happy. It became my outlet for finding myself in a sense. I didn’t used to feel particularly “cool” but the rapper version of me was a reinvention. I got to showcase coolest parts of me or the parts of my life that caused pain or trauma. I got to feel like I was him, and turn all of my negatives in to positives that rhymed and fit well on a beat. It was perfect.

I didn’t take music seriously or try perusing a career in it until I was 19 years old. Up until then I was creative but put more traditional business first because I still didn’t think I could make it. I’d created start ups, run small business, and done every job under the sun all while recording music & never releasing it. At one point a little bit after my 19th birthday everything clicked & that doubt that had kept me from pursuing my dream was gone.

I started pushing the music at the beginning of 2023 and haven’t looked back since. The amount of progress I’ve made and lessons I learned I attribute to nothing but God.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. Struggles came in all forms from financial to relationship to friendship… At one point or another i’ve had to sacrifice in every part of my life to make this music thing work. That being said, I also prioritize my mental health and I know that an unbalanced life is the quickest way to lose sight of that. Keeping my priorities in line and making sure I make time for everything I care about is definitely one of the biggest struggles especially while you’re comin up.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a musical artist. I rap &. sing… I’m knowin for the rappin.

If we’re being general, i’m proud of myself for being patient enough to my sound. Having a distinct sound in everything I create has definitely been a journey and just recently do I feel like i’ve come to understand what my “pocket” is.

If anything sets me apart it’s everything… I’m me, i’m not them. So i’m set apart by default. Even if I do something another person is doing or has done i’m doing it in my way.

What makes you happy?
Love makes me happy. Inspiration makes me happy. Being in the moment makes me happy.
