Rising Stars: Meet Cherry Lee of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cherry Lee

Cherry, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born from the collision of atoms, just another creation of the Universe. In this lifetime, I was put in the City of Angels, existing in the context of all which came before me as I navigate this world in this physical body as Cherry Lee.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been the smoothest road as anyone could ever wish for–the law of detachment works wonders. But you need to put in the work and trust what the universe has in store for you. Want nothing, receive everything. And any “struggles” along the way are just learning moments and without them, I wouldn’t be who and where I am today.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a DJ and producer–I play and make music that makes people move. Movement is healing–I think they call it “somatic healing” nowadays but music and dance is ingrained in us and our ancestors have always used dance and music to heal. And with my identity, I hope to open up minds and hearts and teach the world some compassion and spread the love–I am merely fulfilling my mission as One Who Hears the Sounds of the World.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Just be genuinely kind and loving. It’s what makes us human and all we have when government and society fails you. Community and love will bring you what you need.
