Rising Stars: Meet Anastasia (Marina) Romanov (Goncharova)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anastasia (Marina) Romanov (Goncharova).

Hi Anastasia (Marina), please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up in Russia and like any little girl, I dreamed of getting into Hollywood and becoming an actress. I’ve been watching the cartoon “Anastasia” since childhood and I also wanted to know that I’m a real Russian princess. I didn’t pass the movie castings and decided to choose myself. I created a blog and started making movies. She created all the costumes herself thanks to her talent as a designer and began to travel around the world.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road was not easy. I graduated from a theater college in Russia, design courses and began to think about how to get into the cinema. Unexpectedly, I got into the circus and worked as a circus artist for many years. But I haven’t forgotten the true purpose.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Now I’m a world-class cosplayer. I not only create a costume, but also live the life of a character. I am the only Russian girl who was able to travel from Russia to Paris in the image of Anastasia.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I was noticed all over the world. All people appreciated my talent as a designer and cool clothing brands wanted to cooperate with me. Even the Disney company commented on my videos. Cool collaborations and projects are waiting for me in the future.
