Rising Stars: Meet Alex LiveSaX of New York

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex LiveSaX.

Hi Alex, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey with music started over 25 years ago with a passion for the saxophone. What began as a love for music gradually became my career, my lifestyle, and a way to connect with people from all walks of life.

Over the years, I’ve explored different musical styles, from jazz and romantic melodies to modern house, EDM, and dance music. I always believed the saxophone could be more than a traditional instrument. I wanted to bring it into modern nightlife, DJ performances, and unforgettable celebrations.

That’s how I developed LiveSaX, my live saxophone entertainment brand. Today, I’m based in New York City, performing at weddings, luxury private parties, corporate events, clubs, and special celebrations. One of my favorite things is collaborating with DJs and creating spontaneous musical moments that bring incredible energy to the room.

Every event is different, and that’s what keeps me inspired. Whether I’m performing for a small private gathering or a room full of people dancing, my goal is always the same: to create an experience people will remember.

After more than 25 years, I’m still learning, experimenting, and finding new ways to combine live music with technology, creativity, and entertainment.

For me, music has never been just about playing notes. It’s about making people feel something.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Building a career as an independent musician comes with a lot of challenges, especially in competitive markets like New York and Los Angeles.

One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to be both an artist and a business owner. Playing saxophone is my passion, but building LiveSaX involves much more than music. It’s about creating relationships, promoting yourself, finding the right opportunities, and constantly evolving.

Another challenge has been creating my own identity as a performer. I never wanted to be just a saxophone player standing on stage. I wanted to bring live saxophone into the world of DJs, house music, luxury events, and modern nightlife, creating an experience where the audience feels part of the performance.

Being based in New York while expanding my presence in Los Angeles brings another level of challenge. LA has an incredible creative energy, with so many opportunities in entertainment, fashion, private events, and collaborations. Building relationships in a different market takes patience, consistency, and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone.

There have been quiet periods, missed opportunities, and moments when things didn’t go as planned. But every experience has pushed me to become more creative, disciplined, and focused.

After more than 25 years in music, I’ve learned that talent is only part of success. Relationships, professionalism, and consistency are just as important. My goal is to keep growing LiveSaX between New York and Los Angeles while bringing something unique to every stage and every event.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a professional saxophonist and the creator of LiveSaX, a live entertainment brand specializing in bringing the energy of live saxophone into luxury events, nightlife, weddings, corporate celebrations, and private parties.

With over 25 years of experience, I’ve developed a performance style that combines the elegance of a live instrument with modern house music, EDM, jazz, and popular hits. I especially love collaborating with DJs, improvising over their sets, and creating unforgettable moments on the dance floor.

What makes my performances different is the connection I create with the audience. I don’t just stand on stage and play music. I move through the crowd, interact with guests, and adapt my performance to the atmosphere. Sometimes it’s sophisticated background music for an elegant cocktail reception, and sometimes it’s a high-energy performance that turns a party into something extraordinary.

I’m based in New York City, and I’m also focused on expanding LiveSaX in Los Angeles. I see incredible opportunities in LA’s entertainment, fashion, hospitality, and luxury event industries. My vision is to connect these two creative cities through music and build lasting relationships with event planners, DJs, venues, and creative professionals.

What I’m most proud of is building my own artistic identity and continuing to evolve after more than two decades in the industry. I believe being a successful musician today requires more than technical ability. It’s about creativity, presentation, professionalism, and understanding how to create an experience that people genuinely remember.

For me, LiveSaX isn’t simply about booking a saxophone player. It’s about bringing live music, style, emotion, and energy together to make every event feel special.

How do you define success?
For me, success is about freedom, growth, and doing what I love while creating something meaningful for other people.

After more than 25 years as a saxophonist, I’ve realized that success isn’t just about how many events I perform at or how much money I make. It’s about the moments I create, the people I connect with, and the memories that stay with them long after the music stops.

There’s something special about seeing an entire room come alive when I start playing. Whether it’s a wedding, an intimate celebration, or a high-energy party with a DJ, knowing that my music helped make that moment unforgettable is one of the most rewarding feelings.

At the same time, success means continuing to challenge myself. Building LiveSaX into a recognized entertainment brand, expanding from New York to Los Angeles, collaborating with talented artists, and opening doors to new creative opportunities are all part of my vision.

I also believe real success means having the freedom to choose projects that inspire me, travel, stay healthy, keep learning, and enjoy life beyond the stage.

Ultimately, success isn’t a final destination. It’s being able to wake up excited about what I’m creating, stay true to myself, and continue growing both as an artist and as a person.
