Today we’d like to introduce you to Weston White.
Weston, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I always say I grew up in Texas, but I was awakened in Los Angeles.
After crossing the country to start fresh in a new environment, I was faced with the challenges of understanding who I am in this world, and developing what I want to contribute. Los Angeles gave me the opportunity to confront what was destructing my life, and that was alcohol. Over three years ago I gave up alcohol in my life and allowed myself to breathe into my body and face the world with a clean perspective. This was really the catalyst that jump started my obsession with health, wellness, self-development, and expansion. Through my journey of self-discovery, people just naturally began asking me advice, opinions about health and how they too can treat themselves better. I knew I had a gift I needed to share with more people, and becoming a Health & Lifestyle coach was perfect podium to share my story and impact world health.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting a new business never comes without its challenges. This business is really built on the foundation that I can only grow my clients as far as I am willing to grow myself. I don’t share or teach anything that I haven’t done already myself along my journey, or something I am continuously practicing. It’s commitment and it takes failure after failure to expand yourself and learn what works. This is the journey though, and that is where the growth happens. We have to celebrate each step along the way, and have gratitude that we get to experience this life. Success is never the end result. Success is the Journey.
Please tell us about Your West Life.
Your West Life is about building each client’s own unique intuition. Guiding them to understand that health and wellness is about creating nourishing choices for your life, and flexibility to choose what is right for your body and your life. I specialize in digestive health and healing the gut/brain connection. While serotonin is typically thought as a brain chemical, over 90% is made in the gut. So if you want a healthy brain, you have to work at warming and healing your gut.
I love connecting with my clients to find out what is most important to them and where they are in their journey. Each individual is so unique and being the guide to help them uncover what is holding them back, and how they can so simply create new habits when they tap into their personal power has been so inspiring for me.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
The journey I have taken has taught me so many lessons, and led me to where I am today.
I like to recognize and honor that journey. That even our darkest moments, our sadness, our pain – it is our body speaking to us to break free. We get messages all the time, we just have to tap in and learn to listen to our guiding spirit.
