Tempête Studios is a women-owned business aiming to amplify the storm within each individual. The word “Tempête” is a french derivate meaning a violent storm – this company was developed by two women seeking to spark change to the “standards” upheld by an out-dated industry. At Tempête Studios, we utilize the skills and professional experiences of an in-house production team to create magic with our network and equipment. Teaming up with a variety of models, industry professionals, studios, and commercial enterprises – Tempête Studios has created a one-stop shop for any individual aiming to elevate in the Fashion Industry.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The hardest part about owning a small business remains with the people you bring into the circle. Not only is this your job, but this is your livelihood. When bringing in new individuals, it’s like adding a new member to the family – we fight like sisters, at times, but at the end of every day we ensure that each of us do our part to uphold and elevate our vision at Tempête Studios.

Tempête Studios is an all-encompassing production house specializing in training and enhancing the professional seeking a long-term career in the Fashion Industry. Created by two women who grew tired of the out-dated “industry standard” beauty, Sonja and Meredith were inspired to create this organization when they identified a gap in the industry. One where women were attempting to grow and develop as professionals but were required to expense exuberant amounts of funding just to attempt at differentiating themselves from others in the industry. With Tempête Studios, we have created a one-stop shop for photographers, videographers, designers, stylists, hair & make-up artists, and models seeking to elevate their stance in the Fashion Industry. Dedicated to providing exemplary service to all walks of life, amplifying the storm within – we magnify our capabilities together as one to elevate and inspire! Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
The best advice for networking and finding a mentor that we could offer would be continuous effort and initiative. Never take “no” for an answer and continue to reach out and grow – eventually, you will find the one person who is exactly what you need and is willing to work with you to inspire your journey to elevation.
