Meet Tasia Smith of She Has A Vision in Inglewood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasia Smith.

Tasia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
She Has a Vision started off as a simple idea to do something fun at home with my girlfriends. After speaking and listening to feedback from many women, my idea morphed into filling a void- creating a comfortable space and platform for women to network with other women outside their immediate business and social circles. The concept of creating a sorority like foundation for those who may not have had the opportunity grew bigger.

On January 30th, I hosted my first “She Has a Vision”, Vision Board & Networking event. On the quest to execute this event, I truly found my passion. After realizing the success of this event I begin to think of what She Has a Vision can accomplish.

April 14, 2014 I hosted the 1st Annual She Has a Vision “She-Treat” A Women’s 1 Day Retreat in Covina, CA. This allowed us women to get together is a more relaxed setting, share pieces of ourselves in a judgment free setting and grow together. It was after this event that I truly realized that this is my passion. Cultivating relationships, supporting dreams and motivating the people around me.

The ultimate goal of She Has a Vision is to change the course of history by empowering thousands of women worldwide while building life-changing bonds along the way. We look to motivate women who aspire to strengthen and participate in the growth of our community. Our grassroots efforts can’t be as impactful without the help of partner, sponsorship, and support.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
To be completely honest, in a short span of time things have taken off way faster than I could’ve ever anticipated. I’ve met some phenomenal women and amazing men who have contributed time, money and support which helps a great deal. BUT…. as with most things money is required to keep things afloat. She Has a Vision is a brand new venture we have a received donations, but we have not yet solidified sponsorship. Lack of monetary support definitely makes it a little more difficult to achieve a lot of my ideas, but I’m positive everything has been working out and I know that everything will continue to work out because this organization is built on positive ideas and foundation.

She Has A Vision – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from others?
She Has A Vision specialized in the growth and development of women as a whole. It’s not just about empowering us, it’s about the growth of ourselves as women, friends, children, mothers, etc. She Has a Vision is a support network, we want to support you as a whole, building friendships and sisterhood where we are inclusive and focused on our similarities as opposed to pinpointing our differences.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me is defined by following your passion. Take what you’re truly passionate about and utilize those talents to influence, impact and change the world.
