Meet Sami Nomair of Citiguard in San Fernando Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sami Nomair.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been involved in the security industry for over 11 years. I was previously employed with a firm in 2014 but decided to open up own security company, as my marketing ambition was to develop a security company that provided exceptional security services that sponsored the highest caliber of security personnel that execute flawless security surveillance and response, providing customized comprehensive and effective security programs and solutions to clients’ security needs and concerns; along with added-value advantages that no other security company in the industry provided, such as state-of-the-art monitoring and reporting technology that is utilized by all deployed guards at our clients’ sites and regularly scheduled quality assurance visits at each clients’ venues by a designated Security Supervisors, as well as client Account Managers.

Owing to my company’s success, we now employ over 425 employees and are currently expanding our existing Southern California marketing region into Northern California.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As is the case for most start-up companies, there is always the classic growing pains. The success of a company largely depends on the quality of the employees, as they are the real nuts-and-bolts assets that the company depends on to provide a work ethic that is competent and dedicated to company’s vision of success. The initial struggle is finding and hiring such individuals, which is a process in keeping those who have demonstrated their capabilities and terminating those that do not which, at times, become disappointing, as every single employee is vital in contributing their responsibilities to the company’s growth.

Being the “new-kid-on-the-block”, a start-up company has the challenge of competing with established competitors in demonstrating the benefits and advantages in earning the patronage of prospects who would otherwise look to said competitors.
