Today we’d like to introduce you to Ria Safford.
Ria, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
RíOrganize began in March 2016 as my little part-time gig and has since evolved into something greater than I could have ever imagined! My family of three had just moved back to California, and I knew I no longer wanted to be a part of the corporate world as a new mother. I needed to be doing something with purpose. I have always had a need to help people and RíOrganize created the platform for just that!
The best part about my story is that I did not grow up an organized person in my personal life. It wasn’t until getting married and especially having children that I grew to really appreciate what great organizational systems could do for my own life! I have two daughters and am due with our first boy in March. We have also moved five times in the last six years. These are big transitions in life, and I love that I can come to clients from experience.
Has it been a smooth road?
The momtrepreneur life is not for the weary that is for sure! I naively thought this job would afford me some more down time “being my own boss,” but boy was I wrong. It is still not easy to find that perfect balance between work mom and home mom. The mom guilt is strong having such little ones (almost four and two).
I had my second daughter a year into starting RíOrganize–a lot of work stuff was put on hold as I did not have a team yet. Growing RíOrganize has been such an exciting thing for me, and 2019 could not be off to a better start! Here is to some more growth, balance, and patience as I navigate through this crazy phase of life.

Although we are based in Orange County, we have been lucky to work all over Southern California. The dislike of the city will forever and always be the traffic. Woof!
Our LA/Pasadena jobs have this momma up at 4:45 am to get the day started. Good thing I’m a morning person!
The best part is, of course, the people. We have been beyond blessed with our clients and the wonderful relationships we have made.
