Today we’d like to introduce you to Randy Palacios.
Hi Randy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been fascinated by human performance, not just how strong or fast someone can be, but what it takes to help people truly move, feel, and live better…in a way chasing greatness. My path began as a high school basketball athlete who wished I had access to elite training or someone who could guide me toward peak performance. Growing up in the “hood,” that kind of support just wasn’t available, but I wanted it so badly that it lit a fire in me.
When I went to college, I thought I’d go into sports medicine. But my journey took a different turn, I found myself doing meaningful work with cancer and cardiac patients as an exercise physiologist. You’re probably wondering, “Why not athletic training?” Well, my college didn’t have that program, and at the time, I didn’t even know the difference between an AT, PT, EP, DC, or ND. All I knew was MD was the only way…I was wrong . I didn’t grow up around white-collar professionals or have mentors to guide me, I just had my faith, passion, and myself, regardless of the systems stacked against me or the failures that came.
Eventually, I realized the clinical setting was valuable but limited, people were treated as patients, not whole humans. My passion was always to train the best, the Michael Jordans, Kobe Bryants, Rory McIlroys, A’ja Wilsons, Paige Bueckers, and Caitlin Clarks of tomorrow. I’ve always been drawn to that top 1%, the ones who don’t just want results, but want someone who will walk with them through both the highs and the lows of their journey/career. That’s what drives me, being the coach and recovery specialist who’s fully in their corner, not just when things go right, or winning championships, but when resilience is tested.
That vision led me to create Flexfit Wellness & Recovery, a performance and recovery practice that blends exercise physiology, deep tissue therapy, and movement science. It started small, just me, a massage table, a few tools, and a belief that every person deserves to feel like an athlete again.
Over time, it’s evolved into a space where athletes, professionals, and everyday individuals come to rebuild strength, prevent injuries, and perform at their best, both physically and mentally. What keeps me going isn’t just seeing people get stronger, it’s watching them believe in themselves again and build a relationship. I’m an advocate of their health & performance.
Flexfit isn’t just a business to me; it’s the story of faith, grit, and resilience. Proof that even when you come from nothing, you can build something that helps others become everything they’re meant to be.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Has it been a smooth road? Not even close, but honestly, that’s what made it meaningful. Where should I start?
No role models. No business background. No funding. No mentor. A kid of Salvadoran parents growing up in the hood, labeled a “bad” kid because of ADHD. Professors who dismissed me. Research opportunities that were gatekept. You name it, I’ve probably faced it. But one thing I’ve always had, actually two, are faith and family.
My parents and siblings are the foundation of who I am. They’ve supported me through every pivot, every failure, every moment I questioned myself. Their love and belief in me gave me the courage to keep going when the world told me to quit. Because of them, I wake up every day ready to work harder, not just for myself, but to make them proud and to show others from where I come from that it can be done. Plus I want to be the best for those who want and need the best coach in their corner. It taught me that when doors close, when windows shut, and even when the air vents seal tight, you don’t wait for another opportunity; you tear down a wall and create one.
When I first started building Flexfit Wellness & Recovery, I had no blueprint. I worked out of borrowed spaces, went to peoples houses, reinvested every dollar back into the business, and learned how to market, manage, and deliver by trial and error. I still do that now for some VIP athlete clients. There were days I trained clients, did bodywork, and handled admin all in the same breath, while running 2 newsletters on Linkedin. It was exhausting, but it taught me self-reliance, creativity, and perseverance.
The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been honest. Every challenge sharpened my faith, deepened my gratitude, and strengthened the purpose behind what I do. I wouldn’t trade that for anything because of my current athletes and future elite athletes who will need me.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Flexfit Wellness & Recovery?
Flexfit Wellness & Recovery was built on one belief that human performance and recovery should never be one-size-fits-all. It’s a hybrid performance and recovery business where I combine exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, and deep tissue therapy to help elite athletes, professionals, and everyday people perform at their best while staying pain-free.
I specialize in what I call the Flexfit 7R™ Recovery System, a framework I developed that focuses on seven pillars: Restore, Reset, Rebuild, Recondition, Refuel, Rebalance, and Recover. Each session starts with an assessment, followed by tailored strength work, mobility therapy, and hands-on bodywork. Whether someone is coming off an injury, dealing with burnout, or preparing for a high-stakes performance, I bridge the gap between physical therapy, athletic training, and personal coaching.
What sets me apart isn’t just my certifications or methods, it’s how personal this work is to me. I treat every client as a VIP, because to me, everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and cared for. I don’t just count reps, I build relationships, trust, and long-term results. My clients know I’m as invested in their recovery/health as they are or more.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that Flexfit represents resilience and transformation. It’s more than a logo or a color scheme…It’s a promise. A promise that no matter where you are in your journey, you can rebuild stronger, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
For readers, I want them to know that Flexfit Wellness & Recovery isn’t just a luxury, it’s a necessity for anyone serious about their health and longevity. I serve elite athletes, working professionals, and high-performing individuals who want to train smarter, recover faster, and live pain-free. Whether it’s in-person, virtual, or concierge-style training, my goal is simple: to help you move, feel, and perform like the best version of yourself, every single day.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that faith and consistency always win, even when you feel no one’s watching.
When you’re building something from nothing, there will be seasons where it feels like no one sees the effort, the sacrifices, or the grind behind the scenes. Early on, I used to think results came from talent or opportunity. Now I know they come from patience, faith, and the daily decision to keep showing up even when it’s hard.
I’ve learned that rejection isn’t a dead end either, it’s redirection. That failure isn’t proof you’re not capable, it’s proof you’re trying. And that the right opportunities will always find you when your work, your integrity, your reputation and your intentions align.
Most of all, I’ve learned to bet on myself, to try to develop radical self-trust because when you move with purpose, stay grounded in your faith, and keep serving people with honesty and heart, the right doors eventually open. Every single time.
