Meet Randi Goodman and George Ricciardi of Malbec Adventures in Malibu

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randi Goodman and George Ricciardi.

George and Randi are dedicated to sharing their love and passion for the great outdoors.

Upon moving to Monte Nido they instantaneously realized the magic of the area and endless opportunity at their fingertips. They had no choice but to figure out a way to share the wonders of the Santa Monica Mountains in a meaningful way. Thus, began Malbec on the Creek.

After successfully converting their guesthouse into a luxurious mountain getaway, they quickly found their calendars booked with guests wanting to enjoy the serenity of the area. Since George was born in Argentina, where the Malbec flows faster than the rushing mountain streams, it seemed only natural to pair each guest’s stay with a bottle.

They quickly learned that their guests enjoyed their local knowledge. George has been cycling the Santa Monica Mountains for over 35 years and loves to guide others on ultimate outdoor experiences. Randi enjoys hiking through the vast network of mountain trails accessible from the backyard, after which she likes to unwind with some yoga on the back deck while listening to the creek flow. They then realized yet another service they could provide. Understanding that each person is unique, they called upon their vast network of wellness and adventure gurus/friends to create Malbec Adventures, a completely customizable luxury health getaway experience.

They feel very lucky to be able to live in such a beautiful location with their two dogs, Oliver and Charlie, and use the mountains as their playground. Apart from exploring nature, they spend their evenings cooking and sipping on great bottles of Malbec. They have been welcoming guests from all over the world to their property for the last three years and cannot wait to help you create your perfect getaway.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has been as smooth as a bike ride along the winding hills of the Santa Monica Mountains. The business has evolved in a very natural way from the beginning, but as with any business there have been sudden twists in the road. We just keep riding it and trust in the fact that people love what we are offering!

Malbec Adventures is more than just a luxury getaway or activity center. At Malbec, we take deep pride in sharing the local flavors and experiences of our community with a broader audience to forge deep connections with the natural environment.

We specialize in fully customizable luxury adventure getaways. Here at Malbec, we like to do it all- private getaways, group events, parties, day retreats, and more. From biking, to hiking, to yoga, to surfing, to paddle boarding, to wine tasting, to massages, and everything in between… We understand that everyone is unique and has certain likes, dislikes, and needs depending on what’s going on in their life. At Malbec, we take that into consideration in creating the perfect escape for each person/group.

Here at Malbec, we define success by how happy we make our visitors. Our mission here is to make the world a happier place by making individuals happier one guest at a time.
