Meet Pharaoh Kahn of LOS ANGELES

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pharaoh Kahn.

Hi Pharaoh, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Ive been an artist for more than a decade. I believe when I moved to LA in 2019 I entered a new phase of my artistry. Coming from St.louis, Mo I was excited to make my mark in a bigger “pond” so to speak. Since then ive grown into a multi hyphenate artist crossing mediums of film, design and production. Ive worked with some of the biggest up and coming designers composing music for runways in Miami and Paris. I premiered my own 2o minute short film accompanied with a zine that details more of my journey from 2020-2026!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
hahah a smooth road, definitely not ! However I cherish the journey regardless because I’m a firm believer in everything you went through contributed to where and who you are. Not being native to Los Angeles, I’ve had to sacrifice distance between family, friends and major events back in St.louis. There’s no safety net, Ive had to navigate business relationships, advocating for yourself in these rooms that you may be the new talent. Ive become a small business owner which comes with its struggles in itself, not knowing when the next pay day will arrive but trusting it will a the right time.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am mutli hyphenate artist. Im not bound by genres or specific mediums that people feel like you have to stick with, once you’ve started. I switch between designing, producing events and music ,to being a full on musician. I like people to feel like there’s a world being built right before their eyes.

Through music, Ive produced scores, commercial tunes, runway music and my own music as an artist. Im most proud of my ability to make impacts in each film, music and production. Commemorating my last EP, I produced, wrote and starred in my own short film entitled “Outside Kids Back Outside Again” .

I am the founder and creative director of my own brand KOMEH Club, where I design leather wallets, totes and garments. I also teach classes where I allow people in to my atelier and guide them in the construction of their own tote or wallet.

What sets me apart from others I ability to navigate these fields authentically and impact-fully, leaving a mark in an organic way that feels like its all just an extension of me.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Honestly, Id have to thank my brother Mars who’s always pushed me to become a better artist. through references and influences, he’s been influential in my world building. I would also thank Mylin, who was critical in the creation of my brand KOMEH. He was the lead stylist and runway coordinator for my first fashion show in 2021. With him being a celebrity stylist and overall connoisseur, I’ve been able to produce compositions for brands he’s also worked with, allowing me to exercise a muscle I didn’t know I had. My family has been some of biggest supporters, never letting a moment pass where they say they are proud of me. Aldre Williams, Arrington Fleming, Aquavis Warfield are a few other names that have played crucial roles in the development of my world through musical production & performance, research and development and cinematography.
