Natural Bae LA is a black-owned brand founded in 2020. Our CEO, Nya Burch, has over 10 years of experience in the Hair Extension and Beauty Industry. As a retired hairstylist and Redken Certified Colorist, I created the brand to provide all women with human hair ponytail options during the pandemic. We offer the most convenient top quality ready-to-wear extensions to install in the comfort of your own home. Since then, I have released raw bundles, seamless clip ins, styling products and a brush collection. And this is just the start! I’m working on some amazing new launches that I can’t wait to share with you.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of my biggest struggles was finding a great marketing team to help me scale my business.
I would also say bringing more awareness to the brand took a while since I wasn’t an influencer with a large following was a challenge as well.

TikTok has been a game-changer for me. Consumers really go to TikTok and use it as a Google search. I recently had a cell hairstylist find Natural Bae from app.
