Meet Nathalia Gomez of BÉSOS Mobile Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathalia Gomez.

Hi Nathalia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been surrounded by entrepreneurship my whole life. With roots in both Mexico and Peru, my family opened our first restaurant, Listo El Pollo, in Reseda when I was 16. A few years later, at 21, we opened Rosty Peruvian Eatery in Highland Park, and most recently, in 2023, my sister launched Tacos 805 in Simi Valley with her husband. Growing up in those kitchens and dining rooms planted the entrepreneurial spirit in me. I went on to study at Loyola Marymount University, where I joined the incubator program and built a strong foundation in business administration, complementing my hands-on experience in small business.

After college, I spent several years working as an executive assistant for a brand strategy company. I loved the problem-solving and organization that came with the role, but I knew I wanted to create something of my own.

The idea for BÉSOS Mobile Bar came naturally. I’ve always loved hosting, creating memorable experiences, and connecting people. I saw a gap in the events space for a bar service that wasn’t just functional, but personal—full of energy, warmth, and style. A bar is the heart of the party, and I wanted BÉSOS to embody that spirit.

The name BÉSOS, which means “kisses” in Spanish, felt perfect. To me, kisses represent joy, connection, and celebration, all the little moments that make life special. I wanted our bar to carry that same feeling: a drink experience infused with cariño, pasión, and love.

So, I took the leap. I designed the brand and built the operations. Inspired by my culture and my family’s restaurant legacy, I built BÉSOS Mobile Bar to be more than just drinks. It’s about creating unforgettable moments that bring people together.

Today, we’re growing quickly, serving weddings, private parties, and events across Los Angeles and Ventura County.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s definitely not smooth! Balancing a demanding career in medical device sales while building BÉSOS on nights and weekends is one of the hardest parts. I spend my days in a corporate world of quotas and strategy, then shift gears into designing menus, hauling equipment, and figuring out permits. It’s exhausting, but very fulfilling.

We’ve been impressed with BÉSOS Mobile Bar, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is called BÉSOS Mobile Bar, and we’re a dry-hire mobile bar service that brings the party to you. We specialize in creating custom bar setups for weddings, private parties, and events where people want not just drinks, but an experience.

What sets us apart is the energy. We’re not just pouring cocktails, we’re creating moments. Every detail is curated: the bar setup, the cocktails, the menu design. I’ve always loved branding and design, so I make sure each event feels polished, stylish, and Instagram-worthy. But beyond the aesthetics, our team brings warmth, connection, and fun.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how much people connect with it. The name BÉSOS means “kisses” in Spanish, and it captures everything I want this business to represent: joy, celebration, and love. With my Mexican and Peruvian background, I grew up in a culture where every milestone, big or small, was celebrated with passion and togetherness. That’s the spirit we bring to every event.

I want readers to know that when they book BÉSOS, they’re not just hiring a bar. They’re investing in an experience that’s personal, beautifully designed, and unforgettable.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
For me, it’s resilience mixed with resourcefulness. I don’t wait until I “know it all”; I learn as I go. If something doesn’t work, I pivot. If I don’t know the answer, I either figure it out or ask for advice from my family. That mindset keeps me moving forward even when things feel uncertain.

Equally important is joy. I genuinely love what I’m building, and people feel that. When you bring passion and joy into your work, it’s contagious. It makes clients want to work with you, it attracts opportunities, and it carries you through the hard days.
