Meet Natasha Ray of Noir Men’s Grooming Lounge in Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Ray.

Natasha began her career in the late 1990s in Washington, D.C., where she owned a shop on Capital Hill and operated a mobile nail service that provided manicures and pedicures to assistant living homes and hospice. Natasha also worked as a manicurist at the Ritz Carlton before moving on to the world of high fashion.

As a freelance manicurist, Natasha worked as an editorial manicurist for Essence magazine and perfected the female runway models that appeared in the annual New York Fashion Week show. Natasha Ray played a fundamental role in establishing and growing the Hammer & Nails Grooming Salon for Guys in Los Angeles as an expert manicurist and then as the developer and founder of Organic Body Society, her line of natural ingredient-based grooming products used at all Hammer & Nails franchises.

As Director of Education for Corporate, and the General Manager and Lead Manicurist at the flagship store that was located on Melrose, Natasha trained nail techs, managed the shop and continued to develop innovative products and services. Natasha leveraged her business expertise and technical skills to help grow the franchise and her first product line. After five years she decided to branch off, furthering her mission to provide health, wellness and apothecary services for men.

Natasha founded the Noir Men’s Grooming Lounge and her second product line of natural ingredient-based grooming products for men, Noir. The Noir Men’s Care line which features custom-designed hand, foot and body scrubs for professional and consumer use includes eight direct-to-consumer products and are available exclusively online and at the Noir Men’s Grooming Lounge located in Beverly Hills.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As a single mother of two, this journey has come with many hills and valleys. Many of which made me strong and resilient. Long days and sleepless night. Yet had I not had the struggles I would not be able to appreciate my success.

Created by Natasha Ray- a recognized educator, licensed manicurist, consultant and healer; our custom Hand and Foot Rituals combined with The Noir Collection- a handcrafted line of men’s foot care products, designed to combat a variety of skin conditions affecting the feet of men, from simple dryness to more severe ailments caused by Diabetes.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was always determined to be somebody. I wanted to be a businesswoman. I always played pretend, acting as if I was an independent, busy businesswoman. So funny… yet so true!
