Today we’d like to introduce you to Nancy Nguyen.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Back in high school I got an amazing opportunity to learn how to do eyelash extensions by my boyfriend’s (at the time) mom, Jenny. She mentored me on how the business works, the ins and outs of eyelash extensions, and she pushed me into getting my Esthetician license. After working for Jenny as well as several different salons, I learned the pro and cons of running a good business. I wanted a salon that focused on the clients rather than the money. Many salons I worked at didn’t care about the clients’ lashes or about what they wanted; to the salon, clients were just another revenue. I take pride in making my clients happy and making sure that I provide outstanding work that does not damage their lashes. I bend over backwards for my clients to provide amazing service, convenience, and experience which gets them coming back. It’s been over 2 years since I’ve ventured off and started my own little business. I’ve been blessed to have met the countless wonderful clients and I’m happy to be able to do that almost every day.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Other than building clientele, I feel like there wasn’t many obstacles when I started off my business. I can’t take credit for all that since I was fortunate to be able to learn the dos and don’ts from the salons that I worked at.

At Ch¡c Lashes, we specialize in eyelashes: individual lash extensions, volume lash extensions, cluster lashes, lash perming, bottom lashes, as well as removal.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I feel like personality plays a huge part in success. Even though I’m usually introverted, especially when I don’t know the person, my line of work has pushed me to being more personable. I’m also very hardworking and strive to be the best at anything I put my mind to which pushed me to taking the leap of starting my own business and doing it to the best of my ability.
