Meet Meychelle Hart of Chelle Brand in Chatsworth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meychelle Hart.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Chelle brand is everything to me. It’s a fairly young company actually, I’ve only been doing this for about two years going on three. I started right at home. I had one sewing machine that my mom handed down to me. Fashion is something I’ve always been into since I was a kid. One day I just got inspired and drew out some ideas and decided I wanted to bring them to life and we’ll here I am 🤞🏾 thee years later still a lot of rough patches and still blossoming.

Has it been a smooth road?
This is not an easy task. Being an entrepreneur is NOT EASY. Being a sole business owner is not easy. There are definitely a lot of risks I had to take and a lot of fails. I’ve come across a lot of fake people. And There is a point in time where for a minute, I had zero dollars to my name, every little thing I had went to bills or my business. I’m still currently looking for manufacturing and a team. But this is something I strive for this is my dream so I’ll continue to travel along this bumpy road until I’m smooth sailing.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Chelle brand – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Chelle brand is a clothing brand. All of the designs were sketched and hand made by me. I also have some help which I am truly grateful for. My company is known for 80 chic -90s tomboy aesthetics. It’s a lot of baggy items and crop revealing tops. One thing I will say I’m proud of is the fact that I’m not giving up. God has carried me this far, there were times where I wanted to give up on this because I wasn’t selling not one thing. I didn’t know how to market correctly or anything. Everything I learned was based off my own experience. What sets me apart? Chelle brand offers new and unique designs that no one else has. I’ve had a couple of high-end brands steal my designs so I guess you can say I’m doing something correct 💞 .

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
One thing I love best about this city is that it gives you the freedom to create and network. I can definitely be myself here. Anytime I step outside I’m inspired there’s so many unique souls and creative minds out there.
