Hi Mauricio, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a Music Producer with over 11 Grammy nominations under my belt I used to always find myself booking recording studios to record mostly vocals and often paying expensive fees to use only one mic one mic preamp eq and compressor. That’s how I came with the idea of opening a studio that would offer same expensive recording gear for a fraction of the price. That’s how The Room franchise was born in Burbank North Hollywood.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world where you find the most talented professionals in the industry. For this reason is a very competitive city, The road hasn’t been smooth at all. It’s been a difficult and very challenging experience, competition is very cutthroat and when you come up with a fresh concept everyone copy you and fight you, poaching workers or dropping prices to the point where they can get anyone out of business fast. lol. They tried it all with me at the beginning, until they realized I was going to keep going no matter what. The secret to our success among other things is consistency, our clients know we always have a great studio available no matter what day or time.

We’ve been impressed with The Room Recording Studios, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Room Recording Studios is a company based in Los Angeles California we own and manage 8 recording studios in Hollywood, West Hollywood, Studio City, Burbank and Canoga Park. We are known for offering discount lockouts with or without engineer for a very friendly fee.
We do have engineers on call 24/7 and our studios are famous for being tested and operated by real professionals. No amateur setups. No mickey mouse dinner tables with cheap speakers. All equipment is top notch and all rooms are perfectly balanced to get transparent translation of your mixes outside the studio, and industry standard sound quality at a fraction of the cost. Our services include Recording, Mixing Mastering, Music production, music Scoring, Voice over, ADR, foley, sound fxs editing, audio books, podcasts and sound design.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
A big part of our success is owed to the major labels that had helped us get noticed like Atlantic, warner music, republic, epic, Sony music, universal music, Roc Nation, Def Jam, BMG, BMI, Alamo Records and Warner Latín among many others.
