Meet Marcus Flanary of Striking Photo Booths in West Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcus Flanary.

Marcus, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I began my career working behind the scenes in the TV and Film industry where everything always has to look good on camera. I have directed and produced a web series and short films in the indie scene. In addition to my film work, I was involved in high fashion TV shows and have covered red carpet events and fashion runway shows. I am passionate about utilizing my knowledge of the industry to make my customers photos look like they were taken in a high-quality film studio with a touch of Hollywood glamour.

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting a business is never easy. There are a lot of steps and it takes a lot of patience. The hardest thing would be standing out from all of the other photo booth companies in LA. What I do to stand out is offer the best customer service and the rest just falls into place.

Striking Photo Booths is an open air, interactive, modern photo booth that serves parties and events throughout the Los Angeles Area. We like to refer to it as an ultra-portable photo studio. Professional studio lighting makes everyone look good, and a top-of-the-line DSLR camera captures every moment along the way.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think Los Angeles is a great place to start a business! I think LA is the perfect market place for just about any business idea you can think of. If you have an idea, you can most likely sell it to somebody in LA. The advice I would give to someone starting out is don’t ever give up on your dreams and just keep pushing yourself to be better.
