Today we’d like to introduce you to Lori Dennis.
Lori, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My husband and I have always been immersed in design and architecture. We run Design and Construction firms that have been in the business for a combined 30 years. We share a passion for design and architecture, frequently traveling the world to study the best ancient, historical and contemporary structures, materials, lighting, furnishings and art. We treat projects as if they were their own and our customers become lifelong friends.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Every day is bumpy with design and construction. You can get anything thrown at you: people not showing up, items stuck in customs, opening walls and finding that they are rotten- the challenges are endless. It’s part of job and requires some serious problems solving skills and patience, but it’s never boring!

We have been name the best interior design firm in Los Angeles and the top construction firm in Los Angeles, multiple times. We’ve starred in own HGTV series, the Real Designing Women, which highlighted our work as one of the top interior designers in America. For the past 5 years we’ve held the number one spot on Houzz throughout Southern California for excellence in both our interior design firm and our construction company, SoCal Contractor. Our secret recipe for success boils down to really listening to our clients and delivering on the promises we make.
What were you like growing up?
I have always had an unstoppable desire to win, which has resulted in a strong work ethic. I’ve always looked out for and defended others who were not as strong. It is my belief that you cannot be successful unless you do the right things for others.
