Hi Lola, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Being the middle child of 3 brothers born and raised in View Park- Los Angeles, CA I have always loved experimenting on my brothers skin and hair. After enrolling in esthetician school it amazed me to learn the differences in male skin and how overlooked their skin care needs are which is what lead me to specializing in Male Skin Care. I also specialize in sugar hair removal which is an all natural alternative to waxing. Being of mixed raced you realize how overlooked people of colors needs are. Wax has so many chemicals which lead us to ingrown hairs as well as hyperpigmentation which is why I chose to focus on Sugaring which prevents both. Now I am a Solo Esthetician Specializing in Male Skin Care, Sugar Hair Removal as well as Reiki Healing.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
After the loss of my younger brother I truly chose to hone in on my craft. I realized how short life is so why not take the risk. This lead me to taking a leap of faith and opening my own Esthetician Studio in Century City, CA.

We’ve been impressed with ZEN by Lola, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
ZEN by Lola is ran by a Solo Esthetician. I specialize in Male Skin Care, Sugar Hair Removal and Reiki Healing. I am known for catering to people of color to address our skin concerns that are overlooked majority of the time. I address all of our skin care needs including hyperpigmentation, acne, sun damage, ingrown hairs, beard care, sensitive skin, aging sin etc. Hwta sets me apart is my passion, as a child if always felt my best when I am able to restore peoples joy within. Skincare/ and Reiki truly gives me the opportunity to do just that. Restoring the love /joy within. I am most proud of my holistic approach. Ive found that nothing beats the Holistic/ All Natural Approach. I hope readers know that I am a passionate esthetician who caters to tailoring each individual treatment. Skincare Is not a one sized shoe fits all and I wish society would stop treating it as such. Also ALL skin is GOOD skin.

What matters most to you? Why?
What Matters to me most is how I impact peoples lives. Even if the interaction is just for a second we need to be more conscious of how we impact the next soul. It is my main focus here on earth is to spread love may it be a kind word, a simple smile, a tailored facial to help them look and feel their best. This journey of life isnt always easy so I feel I am here to remind people that pure kindness does still exist.
