Meet Liz Lira of Liz Lira Enterprises in West Los Angeles and Culver City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Liz Lira.

Liz, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
At the age of 6, I started with classical Ballet with a non-profit organization for inner city kids called Saint Joseph Ballet in Orange County. They sponsored my training through high school. My training included Jazz, Tap, Modern, Lyrical, Flamenco, Fossie. I trained 6 days a week and took every single class for all my years at the school. Theatre Arts was my life, on stage and going of field trips with the school to see all performing arts theatre shows.

I quit dance to go to college and become a lawyer and minor in history. I was a full-time student and super unhappy but felt that was the right thing to do.

In 2002, a professional dancer Alex da Silva asked to me compete at The Mayan and we won the professional division. That changed everything. We were invited to travel the world. I went on to win 25 World & National Salsa & Latin Championships.

For the last 15 years, I traveled the world as a featured artist, adjudicator, choreographer, teaching, living in different countries, touching lives through dance.

Worked with So You Think You Can Dance as Salsa Choreographer and Dancing with the Stars! As well, in film, TV, commercials.

I’ve developed the Liz Lira Salsa and Dance Method training team programs for social dancing. Our mission is to innovate and enhance the art of salsa and Latin dance by building a dance community of educated students trained in dance technique as well as psychological and spiritual growth and connection.

Liz Lira Dance Academy is where the magic happens! Salsa, Bachata, Tango, Swing, Ballet, Pilates, and more. Located 3500 Overland Ave #110 Los Angeles CA 90034.

Proud to announce my exclusive Liz Lira Dance Shoes. The Louis Vuitton of dance shoes! Super comfortable, beautiful and affordable.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been smooth ride. Except, for life happening, such as a boyfriend passed away at the age of 24 getting hit by a platoon boat while sailing. That completely changed my life to inspire me to live an extraordinary life, not hold back and no regrets! If you love someone, tell them. They could be gone tomorrow.

Other challenges, is handling negative energy around you. When, you’re on top for a long time and are a nice person. Your competition, can be not so nice and you can feel it in your bones.

Another challenge is being multi-talented artist in Classical Ballet, a pioneer in Salsa genre, Argentine Tango and International Latin. Can be challenging to know what do next and choose projects.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
The purpose of Liz Lira Enterprises, INC is to promote the institution of Latin Dance worldwide while teaching a bolder, more passionate level of expression through music. The Liz Lira Dance Academy entity strives to further the awareness of Salsa and Latin culture. LLDA is one of the world’s most unique dance companies.

LLDA opens the door to dancers with a passion for the art. The Company provides dancers who have never trained or performed with the opportunity to be part of a company, work with professionals, travel, compete, and be part of a unique experience.

At the center of LLDA is the Liz Lira Method, providing transformative Salsa and Latin dance training in a more structured and innovative approach. We keep the true essence of Latin dance methodology, technique, and a new lifestyle of physical, mental, and social health.

With 30 years of dance experience, I am most proud to be recognized in the dance community as a pioneer of Salsa. This recognition has allowed me to grow and expand Liz Lira Enterprises, INC over the last few years.

Being a world-renowned artist has allowed me to spend over 14 years traveling the world. This has given me the opportunity to develop Liz Lira Dance Shoes and source the best quality materials to deliver the Louis Vuitton shoes of dance. This is just one focus in Liz Lira Enterprises, INC that I strive to grow here in the USA.

    Liz;

I met Sergei at the Beverly Hill’s Hotel and we discussed my daughters (Jayde) dancing as she has taken first place two years consecutively in Japan. She is entering into the world champions in January 8th 2019 in Miami. In December near the end of the year she would like to have a few hour lessons to go over her routine with you. As we are getting her tickets to the US now please contact me at your earliest convenience.

    Respectfully,
    Robert
