Hi Laura, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Laura Cardona, aka the Buena Vida Life Coach. I was born in Colombia, raised in New Jersey, and adventured around until I landed in California where I started my healing journey. Part of the adventures were working in the entertainment industry in NY and LA for nearly 20 years until I eventually transitioned into the role of a Life Coach. Today I dedicate my work to creating a positive and supportive space for the Latina/e/x community, where we get equipped with the tools and mindset needed to thrive and achieve our full potential. My Life Coaching practice and style is a unique blend of gentle loving West Coast guidance with savvy East Coast real talk. This work can be challenging so I always make sure to offer an empathetic and realistic approach to building/re-building yourself. My driving force and mission come from the unwavering belief that we all have the inherent right to balance our busy lives, have a strong sense of self-worth, AND live a joyful fulfilling peaceful Buena Vida.🌟 www.buenavida.life
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh I hit so many bumps along the way…phew! I am grateful for those bumps, they are part of what makes me such an expert Life Coach. I know how it feels to hit the floor. I know the toll it takes when you feel helpless and lost. I know the heaviness of losing your way, feeling alone, feeling like an imposter, feeling insignificant, feeling not enough, feeling like there is no one there to support you. Those struggles are REAL. Thankfully I found my way and learned and trained in so many ways that can make that bumpy road a little less hard for my Clients. As I was on my own healing journey I kept hearing “be the person you needed” and that’s what I did- I now dedicate my professional life to helping Latina/e/x learn how to manage the struggles while learning to love the life they are building. So those bumps…they truly have become gifts that allow me to serve my community in beautiful meaningful ways.

This work is hard. This work is challenging. This work is beautiful This work is juicy. This work is DOPE. Check it, I don’t have a magic wand or some secret formula to promise you. But what I do have is personal AND professional experience teaching, modeling, cultivating, living, breathing, using and synthesizing creative tools for mindset shifts. From that place I can tell you this: If you start stepping into these mindset shifts and learning/implementing these tools they will DEF help you in your journey. They will help you with resilience and adaptability. Resilience and adaptability helps you weather the unexpected changes and challenges. And unexpected changes and challenges are inevitable. So let’s close the loop and get into this work!
Too daunting? Scary? I feel you. And you’re not wrong, this shit is scary. This is why I always encourage peoples to find their peoples. This is why I encourage ya’ll to connect with me. How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
My ideal client is a Latina/e/x starting a healing journey. She feels stuck. She’s in a rut. She’s in a funk. She feels helpless. She feels alone. She feels tired. She feels unseen. She feels unheard. She feels angry. AND she also feels a fire within wanting to create and build something beautiful but has no idea where to start. That is where I come in! All my wonderful clients have all somehow been drawn to me because I support them through un-funking themselves and help them move into handling their business. My ideal client is a bad ass in her own right. She knows it and just needs a little helping hand.
