Kwon , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi, I’m Kwon, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach. Born and raised in Queens, NY, I’ve been passionate about sports and fitness for as long as I can remember. After college, I began my career as a high school counselor and coached the boys’ varsity basketball team. It was during that time I realized the importance of proper training and conditioning for athletes, which led me to pursue certification as a personal trainer.
In 2016, I moved to Los Angeles and joined a non-profit in DTLA, assisting individuals experiencing homelessness secure employment. At the same time, I remained active in the fitness industry, working with clients from all backgrounds—from young athletes to professionals and older adults. My focus is on strength training, weight loss, and functional movements that enhance mobility and improve overall quality of life. I’ve trained people of all ages, creating personalized programs to meet their unique goals.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not. Finding and keeping long-term clients has always been a struggle.

As a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach with 10 years of experience, I specialize in weight loss, mobility, and functional movements. I’ve worked with clients of all ages, from young athletes to adults, helping them reach their fitness goals through personalized training programs. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with clients on a deeper level, offering not only physical training but also motivation and guidance that extends beyond the gym. I’m most proud of helping people make meaningful changes in their lives, empowering them to take control of their health and well-being.
