Meet Kham Meas Munoz of Hello Pretty Events in LA County and Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kham Meas Munoz.

Kham, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
This June marked by five year anniversary of creating and inspiring in the event planning industry. After the success of my first company and the support of my business partner, we decided to branch off and start our own endeavors individually. This is how Hello Pretty Events was created.

My background in Management, art, and love for creating and gathering people together are the reasons why I became an event planner.

Working for myself gives me the creative freedom to inspire others through my artistry. It not only gives me a sense of ownership and pride, but it gives me the capability to put people over profit.

Although it can be challenging at times, being my own boss makes me accountable and that drives my ambition for success even more.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Being your own boss can be challenging at times. Not only because you are solely accountable for everything, but you are constantly challenged by your environment and things that may be out of your control. For instance, due to this time of uncertainty, the event industry has really taken a big hit. The sole purpose of events are to gather people together to celebrate life’s milestones. Due to Covid-19, that has all changed. Instead of closing down, I adapted to these changes by creating services where people can still safely celebrate in their homes.

Hello Pretty Event’s mission is to spread joy by gathering people together to sincerely connect safely, create beautiful memories, and to share unforgettable experiences.

We are an all-inclusive boutique wedding and event planning company that is dedicated to personalization, precision, and fun. We believe that the journey leading up to your event is just as important a the final product. We are here to ensure that you have the best experience throughout.

Our services include: wedding and event planning, event styling, balloon installations and balloon mosaics, floral services, rental services, and custom craft items.

Due to Covid-19, we had to make some adjustments and changes to our services. We adapted to these changes by creating services where people can still safely celebrate in their homes.

We created a service called DIY Party at Home. With this amenity, we offer a contactless balloon garlands and installations, custom craft items, drive-by party packages, intimate dinner settings, and dessert delivery services where families can still celebrate safely in their home without the risk of exposure. Events and gatherings may be canceled, but love, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, and new additions to the family are not.

What were you like growing up?
You would think that being the only child, you would be spoiled and showered with everything that you want. My childhood was quite the opposite. I grew up poor and raised by a single mom who worked hard to provide for me. I didn’t get birthday parties until I was a senior in high school when my mom decided to invite my friends over to watch a movie. That was my party! I was so excited and I had the best time! There weren’t any decor, there weren’t any glitz or glamour, there wasn’t even a cake. But that didn’t matter to me. I had so much fun nevertheless! I may not have received a lot of material things while growing up, but I never complained! I gained so much more! I gained appreciation for my mother and for the things I did have strength and the value of hard work. I owe all of that to her! Now, I am throwing parties and events for other people, and living vicouriously and joyfully through them!

I was also my high school’s mascot and loved the Arts.
