Meet Keith Welborn of JustKeybo Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keith Welborn.

Keith, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I began DJ’ing when I was 11 years old under the guidance of my father. Growing up in NY, music and all its mesmerizing forms have always been a part of my everyday life. After playing for some small get togethers and helping my dad with various gigs, I decided after high school I’d push myself to the next level.

During my college years, I DJ’d nightclubs, house parties, pool parties, all that crazy college stuff. With having a background in acting, I knew I had something different than the other DJs. A different sort of stage performing presence. Which gave me most of my recognition while I was DJing in Wilmington, NC when I was in college.

People knew me all over the city. When I played, I made a genuine connection with everyone apart of the party. Despite all the fun and experience gained, a big part of me still wasn’t satisfied. Mainly because DJing and the responsibilities I picked up from the years of work took the place of what I really cared for. Being a live performer.

So, I packed my shit, and took my act to LA. The City of Angels.

For the past 3 years in LA, I’ve been DJing weddings, mitzvahs, corporate events, award and fashion shows, on top of the usual night club and dive bars. It’s been a great ride and I’ve been able to become a very well rounded DJ and MC through my own merit and I’m very proud of that. Looking forward to what the future holds for all of us!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been an uphill push since day one and it’s not looking like there are any sings of the road to success plateauing. The hustle towards success doesn’t deter me and it shouldn’t deter anyone who’s striving to be the best they can be. It’s empowering.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about JustKeybo Entertainment – what should we know?
JustKeybo Entertainment is an exclusive DJ service that specializes in events such as weddings, corporate events, award shows, mitzvahs, birthdays, and plenty more for clients who seek a luxurious, engaging experience. Aside from DJ’ing, I step in as your MC and assist in keeping a steady, seamless, exciting flow of the night.

We’re most proud of our client satisfaction. Nothing makes us happier than a client explaining how the party created lifelong memories that can’t be recreated. It’s like Christmas day when we get one of those calls.

We’re different because we don’t try to fit in a specific mold. We set a whole new standard to partying. We changed the game.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The ability to comfortably build a trustworthy relationship with our clients. The ability to connect with the guest of the party in a very genuine and organic manner.
